Hikaru POV
Dried blood covered and stuck to her hair. Her eyes were dying. This had happened once before. She tried to make me blind but instead did it to herself...
"Come on... just focus." I spoke as her small form huffed in absolute annoyance, she marched up to me and held her hands against my arm. I waited for everything to go dark. But nothing happened. That's when she started crying and squealing.
"it's dark! I can't see!" I looked down to see light shining on her tiny palm. I sighed as I crouched down and looked her in the face. Her eyes were glazed over with darkness.
I took her hand I placed it on her cheek softly.
"Breathe In... and out... now focus." As I said that she followed my commands as she took a big breath. Soon life flowed back into her eyes and into her skin.
"That was scary..." she mumbled as I scruffled her hair.
"I bet it was..."
Her eyes weren't completely glazed over... but her skin was turning pale. Bags were under her eyes. Burn marks scattered her body don't forget the bruises and the scratches that littered her body. I felt defeated... I couldn't save her.. I came with them on the promise they wouldn't harm her... so I left her. Alone... for easily over a month.
Then she seemed to appear infront of me. Then slowly emerged some shadowed figures. They started to beat her. Beat her to the ground. They grabbed her and kicked her. Punched her. Dug their feet into the sides of the poor girl.
"No... DONT YOU DARE! LET ME GO! ILL KILL YOU!" I thrashed and kicked. No matter how much blood I saw spilling out of my little sunshine. I couldn't move, I couldn't move from my spot as I felt the breath leave my body.
"Let her go!" I yelled as I kicked upwards, kicking the white sheets and yelling to the top of my lungs. Sweat sliding down my forehead as I let out large deep breaths. I clenched my sheet as I kicked it over my body.
"Where... where is she!" I semi yelled as I pulled my legs over the bed until they were dangling.
"Sir, sir! Stay seated. You aren't well! Not after that incident!"ma nurse came running in with a couple of other doctors, demanding I get back into the bed properly.
The noises and light felt overwhelming. I felt compelled to do as they say as I sighed, lifting my legs onto the comfort of the bed.
Next thing, a skinny yet lanky figure. My saviour and co-worker enters the room
"Ahh Hikaru... glad to see you're awake." He spoke loudly as he fixed his posture slightly.
"Hey..." I muttered under my breath as I felt the bandage against my forehead.
There was a small silence until he spoke up.
" I was wandering, if you were up to it of course, if you would be able to answer some questions for me?"
