Anais' POV
As I was walking around the supermarket, I thought about August's reply. He does think Elves exist so maybe, that was the reason why he's expression suddenly changed back in the library. But why was he affected though? He's so mysterious you know.
I never expected that the likes of him would join forums like that. I mean, he's the school's new hottie so you would expect him to waste his time on parties, drinking and smoking, flirting with girls and stuffs but a forum like that? Nah, I don't think so. Or maybe he was just possessed the day he replied to Aloutte's story. Exaggerated, isn't it? Haha!
Anais, just forget about that reply. Forget about him and totally ignore his story. Don't be such a nosy girl, okay?
I stopped at a rack of sorted vegetables and gathered some of it in my shopping cart. I strolled around the grocery section for chips and sweets and gathered some. I roamed inside but I wore the usual Anais expression so that anyone wouldn't dare to talk to me.
As I was picking up my grocery bag, someone tapped me from behind so I turned around only to find Lily. She crossed her arms over her chest and raised a brow. She looked at me with disgust and scanned my body from head to foot. She pretended to throw out and rolled her eyes.
"Do people who's mom's a DOCTOR wear that kind of outfit?" she asked as she pointed a finger to me and emphasized the word.
"I'm not the doctor though," I replied as I gave a half shrug. "Your dress is not my taste," I blatantly added.
"Well, I'll say your taste sucks," she said and giggled with her minions.
"You yourself sucks," I retorted and pushed the door, leading me to the parking lot.
"Excuse me?" she huffed and walked hurriedly to me. "What did you just say?" she asked in annoyance.
"You suck,"
She pushed me away as hard as she can that I flew meters away from them and my groceries scattered on the floor. I admit, that one gave me a blast. I'm sorry but I can't control myself anymore. I stood up and cracked my knuckles in front of them. I massaged my shoulders and cracked my neck.
"Looks like you put me on fire today," I threatened as I walked slowly towards them making them step back.
"Come here and let me give you a hug," I sarcastically said and gave them a sweet smile.
"Why would we want your hug?" she asked and turned to her minions telling them to laugh along with her.
"Because it might be your last," I replied and took a step forward.
"What do you mean by that?" one of her minions asked.
"Hmmm I don't know," I shrugged and continued to walk towards them.
"Don't you dare take another step forward!" she yelled and it made the silent lot echo.
I continued to walk and smiled at them. A girl from behind her yelled at me.
"We'll sue you in court!" she said.
I stopped short and replied, "Okay then, I'll ask my uncle, a top lawyer, to take care of my case. I'll have the case go on and on until you lose all your money."
"We'll hire the best lawyer!" she defended, trying to fight me back.
"Let's see what happens,"
Their shoulders stiffened and their fists clenched in fear. I heard one of them say "Let's go Lily," but she stubbornly said no and stood her ground.
"You know," I said as I played with my hair. "I've been thinking why you girls are so aggressive towards me. So I thought maybe, you're insecure about me," I added and Lily tried to argue but I hushed her.
"Do you want me to bury you all to your graves?" I asked as I ran a hand through my hair.
They didn't dare to answer me and just stood there with their stiffened shoulders. I slowly walked to them and clenched my fists.
"Answer me!" I yelled which took them by surprise.
"Anais, l-let us please settle this out," a friend of her said, stuttering.
"Did you just call me by my first name? Are we close?" I asked and let out a bitter laugh.
"Well that was funny," I retorted.
As I was inching closer, they took a step back. We were centimeters apart now so I swung my fist and...
Letta (stop)
I shook my head and saw myself outside the parking lot. What just happened? I asked myself and raised my brows in a confusing manner. I was just there right? We were having a confrontation inside seconds ago and now...huh? I shook my head repeatedly to try to remember if I spaced out or my mind was blocked for a moment that I got myself out of the parking lot.
"Anais," someone called from behind which made me startle.
"You scared me!" I turned around only to find August.
"Wait, why are you here? I mean how did you get here?" I asked, still confused.
"What do you mean? I just brought you a drink. Are you out of your mind?" he replied and chuckled.
"I'm serious!" I said in annoyance and pivoted.
"What just happened to me?" I asked myself but it sounded more of a question to him.
"Is there something wrong?" he asked and followed from behind.
"Yes and it's a big deal. Seconds ago I was just at the parking lot, confronting Lily and her minions, and now...I'm here," I said as my body shivered.
"Weren't you just spacing out? I mean, you could've gotten yourself outside and just forgot about it," he suggested, taking a sip of his drink.
"No, I know what happened," I insisted.
"It's called hunger. You might be hungry so you're hallucinating about things like this," he chuckled and waved his hand dismissively.
"Maybe," I muttered but deep inside me knows that it was something unbelievable. I just couldn't explain it to him because I myself is confused about it too. But I heard someone muttered a word, somewhat like an enchantment.
