Cliché #124: the first chapter always goes a little something like this:

Jennifer screeched as she ran through the ominous forest, a pack of llamas right behind her. They screeched back at her. They were closing in on her, ready to trample over her—

BEEP BEEP. Jennifer groaned as she shut off her alarm clock, rubbing her eyes groggily. She jumped out of bed, still shaken from the foreboding dream. What could it mean??

She walked to her bathroom, looking at herself in the mirror. She sighed sadly. She was your average 17 year old—well, as average as she could be. She had zero friends. She found comfort in books. She was that kid who ate her lunch in the library. She loved studying and focused in class while the rest of her classmates always talked. She was a nerd, she supposed. Her parents got divorced when she was young, and she lived with her mom but barely saw her because her mom was always working.

She quickly dressed in her usual outfit, a pair of jeans and a boring old sweater. She threw her hair into a messy bun, checked in the mirror that her glasses looked all right, then rushed out the door to catch the bus.

These books always have the same beginning, including the weird ass dreams like wtfffff

Also, school is kicking my ass and it is so stressful, thxs for coming to my ted talk
