'I don't like this'
(From when Laxus, and Mira, were teenagers)

(This book is under editing. The plot is roughly the same, just some scenes added in. A chapter been edited if the chapter title looks like chapter whatever semi colon name, like the titles of this chapter, versus chapter number colon chapter Name. Does that even really make sense. I made this book at the start of this year (2019), and my writing has defo improved, so before I start a new book, I wanna sort this one out, and give it an actual ending. Hope you enjoy!)

Mira's pov:
I push the thick wooden doors open, to the guild hall. Stepping inside, I see the usual daily antics going on. Natsu and Gray fighting, Erza pretending she's in charge of them two, Lisanna and Elfman happily chatting away, and Makarov getting wasted at the bar, all in the early hours of the morning.

Something catches my eye. That lightning idiot, causally sprawled across a wooden chair, his charcoal eyes narrowed at me.

A few strands of his bright blond hair fall across his forehead, his loathing gaze never leaves me, as I march over to where he's sat.

"What do you think you're looking at Laxus." I snap.

"Just a little white haired demon brat." Laxus snapped back, venom dripping from his every word.

"It's silver idiot." I correct, referencing to my hair. "And you can't talk with your piss-yellow hair, sparky."

"I'm not in the mood Satan. Go run off with all the other little rugrats." Laxus leans back in his chair, clearly bored of our conversation.

"At least I don't have bolts for brains, sparky."

"Don't call me that, Satan."

"Then don't call me Satan, sparky."

"Then stop being a little psycho demon."

"When you stop being a walking lightning rod."

"Piss off already Satan."

"I'm not going anywhere, sparky."

Laxus slams his fist into the frail wooden table, sending splinters flying around us, and jumps to his feet. He towers above me, his body built like a brick wall. My head only just reaches his chin, forcing me to crane my head up to be able to still maintain eye contact.

"Seeing as you can't understand words, I'll have to beat it into you." His tone low, as he cracks his knuckles.

This caught the attention of the rest of the guild, they whispers the typical things about us. About how old our arguing is getting, but I ignore them.

"Bring it on, sparky." Arrogantly I reply, getting into a fighting stance, as lightning begins to ping off his body.

But before the first punch is swung, a bellowing voice interrupts us.

"IVE HAD ENOUGH OF YOU'RE FIGHTING. GET IN MY OFFIVE NOW." The master roared, leaving his office door open for us.

"Tch." Sighed Laxus, leading the way to the master's office.

Laxus slams the office door in my face, only giving me a few seconds to catch it, to avoid being hit. When I enter, I see two wooden chairs opposite the masters desk, where both men where waiting for me.

Taking a seat, the master begins his rant.

"I've had it with you brat's fighting. This guild is a family, we look after on another, we shouldn't be bickering twenty four seven. I've come to the conclusion that's there's only one way to fix your twos problem." Snaps the master, leaving a lengthy pause for dramatic effect, as his eyes scan over Laxus, and I.

"Is what." Snapped Laxus, wanting to get this over with. Laxus seems to not care, as he leaned back in his chair, in a relaxed position, his face showing no emotion. But he bounced his leg up and down, and chewed at the inside of his cheek, showing his hidden nervousness about the situation we'd gotten ourselves into.

"I've decided to send you two on a week long mission, where you'll put aside your differences, and hatred for each other to complete the mission. Otherwise you'll be kicked out of the guild." The master finished with a sigh.

I felt as if my stomach had dropped through the floor.

Looking over it appeared as if Laxus felt the same, as he began to pale. We both clearly couldn't deal with getting kicked out the guild.

"W-what mission?" I stuttered.

"The Castledaine family is hosting an engagement party, to find their only daughter a bride on Sunday night. They've been receiving threats from thieves that want to steal their engagement ring. An ancient family heirloom of those, worth millions of jewel. So you'll leave tomorrow and stay their for the week, to protect the ring from potential thieves." The master finished "That's all."

And with that he returned his gaze to some papers on his desk, sorting through them.

"This is bullshit." Snapped Laxus, jumping to his feet, finally saying something.

"Well if you want to leave the guild, be my guest."

"How are you okay with his?" Laxus asked, turning in my direction, his gaze melting a hole in the side of my face.

"I'm not." I reply, eyes studying the floor, as they begin to water. "This guild is my only home, I have no where else to go, and it's Lisanna's, and Elfman's home too, I couldn't never ask then to leave it for me. I'm not exactly looking forward to spending a week with you, but it's what I have to do, so stop being selfish and let's get on with it already." I snap, finally looking Laxus in the eye.

We maintain eye contact, my powder blue eyes narrowed, at his slightly widened charcoal eyes.

"The train leaves at 9:30am tomorrow, you both need to be there, to arrive in Ameridge on time. I'll be told by Mr Castledaine if the both of you are either late, or don't arrive. That's all I have to say."

And with that, Laxus and I stalked out of the office, our heads hanging low.

"Hahahaha Laxus got told off." Roared a young Natsu, getting in Laxus' way.

"Natsu I wouldn't-" But my words were caught short, when Laxus punched a hole clear though the right wall of the guild hall, silently all, and gaining their attention.

"Get. Out. My. Way." Laxus Snapped, in a low tone.

"Natsu come on." Urged Erza, pulling the boy away, as Laxus stormed out the guild.

I walk other to the small both where Lisanna and Elfman sat.

"Hey big sis." Greats Lisanna, smiling brightly, as she moved up, creating space for me.

"What's the matter." Questioned Elfman, noticing my dismal expression.

"I'll be gone for a week, on a mission. The master, will sort out any problems you guys have. I'm going home, because I have to get up early." I announce, leaving the guild.
