Chapter 24: s-class trails

Time skip

Mira's pov:
Standing on the boat, I smile, watching all of the competitors for s-class race towards tenrou island.

"How long till we arrive, master?" Inquired Erza, looking over to the island.

"No more then 8 minutes." Estimated Master, relaxing on a sun bed.

Caressing my huge stomach, I was excited to be on tenrou island, I might even go into labour there, but I won't mind there's lots of us here, and I know at least Erza can deliver a baby.

"Must be any day soon." Commented Guildarts, referring to the growing baby inside of me.

"Yep." I replied, showing him one of my signature smiles, and actually meaning it for once.

"You've been really strong about this Mira, I don't know who else could find the silver lining in this situation." Sighed Guildarts.

"Well once I got over Laxus, I realised how excited I was to be a mother." I said, beaming with joy.

"Well that's Mira for you." He joked, giving me a gentle pat on the back.

Arriving at tenrou island, I follow the master to where we're going to set up camp for today.

"Mira, I'm so so sorry." Said the master, staring at me with sorrow in his eyes .

"What for?" I asked, laying down some beds, raising my eyebrows at him.

"For Laxus, he shouldn't of treated you like this, you don't deserve this." He replied, giving me a serious look.

Letting out a soft shift, I said. "You couldn't off done anything about this, you raised Laxus better then anyone else could, you were there when his own dad wasn't, I'm just sorry that Laxus doesn't appreciate you enough, I just hope you can help me raise this baby, because I don't know what I would do without you, you were not only a dad for Laxus, but my family too." Walking over to him, I envelope him in a hug, as he begins to cry a little.

Time skip

Soon after we arrived, the make shift infirmary was filled. Lisanna and Juvia has taken quite the beating from Erza. Freed, and Bixslow lost to Cana, and Lucy. Meat and Wendy lost to Gray, and Loke. After I'd bandaged everyone up, I cooked some soup, and we all ate a little, as we waited.

The second trail, was to find the first master's grave. Guildarts, Freed, and Bixslow all left to return to fairy tail. Wendy and Mest decided to go exploring around the island, leaving Lisanna, Juvia, Erza, and I at the camp. Erza having suspicious about Mest, takes Juvia with her, to go and check on Wendy, but everyone else knew Juvia really just wanted to sneak off to find Gray.

Lisanna and I were happy just chatting, whilst we waited for the s-class trail to finish, however, we were interrupted when we saw a red flare fly high into the sky.

"A red flare." Started Lisanna, as we watched it.

"That means there's an enemy attacking us." I gasp, my hands instinctively go to my stomach in fear of my baby getting hurt.

"Don't worry Mira, we still have a lot of powerful mages here, you should be worrying about what they're gonna do when they get their hands on the enemy." Joked Lisanna, giving me a wink, I return it with a weak smile.

"Let's wait here, if were needed, someone will come get us." Continued Lisanna.

"The feared demon, Mirajane Strauss." I hear a low voice book out from behind me, whipping my head around, I recognise him as Azuma as one of the seven kin, from the dark guild Grimoire
