Misery - Blink-182

Y'all I'm suffering from major writers block, sorry if this ain't that good

.•••••••••••••••••••••••••••.

Cals POV

I drag my feet into the school as I check the time on my phone, 6:15am.

I don't know how I'm getting through the day on no sleep, I'm terrible at shit like that.
Sleep has always affected me so much.

I walk quickly and quietly to the change rooms. If any teachers see me here this early they'll ask why, and more importantly they might ask my parents.

My phone buzzes and I dump my bag on the floor of the change rooms before pulling it out.

Luke: cant pick u up today sorry m8😔🗿

Cal: All good man, see you at school.

I grab one of the towels they supply and walk over to the shower, hanging it over the wall of the stall
I close the shower curtain, and with my body aching in tiredness, I remove my clothes slowly, making sure to put them far enough out of the way so they won't get wet.
Stepping under the water, I immediately let my lower back lose composure, causing my shoulder to slump forward.

Fucking hell, I can't do this everyday, but there's no way I'm going home. I'm not staying in the same house as David, not now that I remember.
Staying at Luke's is off limits because I know that if he finds out he'll worry, and get too involved. I don't want him to have to do that.

I stand under the water aimlessly, just staring at the wall. Life is too fucking much right now, and I can't deal with it. But what else is there for me to do?

I turn the shower off, and leaning my head against the wall, my body becomes covered in goosebumps. But my motivation to get dry and dressed dwindles.

Closing my eyes, I sigh loudly and push myself away from the wall. I grab the towel and dry off, before quickly getting dressed.
The change room is unusually quiet, but only because I'm the only one in here. I don't like it. Every other time I've been here, there's been a whole class of other guys in here as well, and although I don't really like those guys, this room is uncomfortable when it's quiet.

Checking the time on my almost dead phone, I quickly scurry out of the room with my stuff and make my way to the locker.
As I approach, I spot Luke standing next to my locker typing away frantically on his phone.

"Hey Luke," I smile.

"Hey Cally," he replies, glancing up from his phone briefly for politeness, but keeping his attention trained on the screen.

He's probably texting Ashton, I can't think of anyone else. I shrug my shoulders and open my locker,
"What class do we have next? I can't remember."

Luke doesn't answer, instead giggling softly at something on his phone. I pull my schedule out with a huff and grab the books necessary for class.

I turn around and look directly at Luke, waiting for him to notice that I'm staring, but he doesn't.
"Luke, can you even hear me or are you that switched off?"
