Two month had passed since Eragon and Saphira had returned from their second scouting trip of the valley. Once Blodhgram and the others had arrived at the camp in the mountain pass, Eragon and Saphira took off again for there second trip into the valley. The trip had taken nearly three weeks, but to Eragon it had been worth it.
Everything he had dreamed he would find, he had found in this valley. It was completely in closed by the mountain range with only the one pass they had already found.
For all his searching he could not find any humans, elves, or human like creatures in habiting the valley, the valley was their's all their's and they controlled the only way in or out.
This place had everything they would ever need. The valley itself was so large it would take a dragon five days to fly length of it, and the width was a three day flight. There was enough plant and animal life here to sustain hundreds of dragons and riders for hundreds of years.
When Eragon returned he had split the elves into four groups. In the first group of ten elves were to start clearing the half mile wide mountain pass. From there they would extend a path one mile east into the valley where it would run threw the middle of there village and would meet up with a stream they would use for there fresh water supply.
They would also be in charge of singing the trees on the edges of the mountain pass into watch towers to help protect the valley.
The second group of ten elves would be helping the first group clear the path threw the middle of the village, also they would be singing the trees on the south side of the path in to barracks for elves to live in. On the north side of the path they would sing a house for Eragon and a house for Blodhgram.
A third group of five elves have the responsibility of singing the trees between Eragon and Blodhgram's house in to a strong house for Cuaroc, the eggs, and the Eldunari. The last and finally group would consist of Eragon, Blodhgram, and four other elves they would take care of the day to day duties around the village and lend a hand when needed.
Blodhgram and Eragon walked through the village inspecting all the elves hard work that was now completed. As they walked Blodhgram spoke to Eragon. " Argetlam I am concerned how our we ever going to turn this village into a city for dragon riders? We have no where near the man power to make this place into what it should be, at this rate it'll be years before this place is ready to train and house riders."
Eragon stopped walking to face him. "I know my friend I have been thinking the same thing for weeks. I have some plans and ideas for what we need, give me a few days to get them all straightened out and I'll run them by you."
He knew it was what needed to be done, there was no other option that would work. But could he convince her to go along with it, he knew she would not go for it but he had to make her see it his way. Three days had passed since they had spoken of the problem at hand.
Eragon waited in a clearing outside of the village for Blodhgram and Saphira to join him to hear the decision he had made. When they arrived he new the hardest part of this whole adventure would be getting Saphira to agree to it.
"Thank you both for joining me out here, you both know of the problem we are facing and I think I have found a solution. But before I tell you what it is I want you to promise, especially you Saphira, to hear all of my plan before you argue it."
" I promise little one".
"Thank you. I have thought long and hard on this and the only place we are going to be able to get the help we need is from Alagaesia. The problem with this is that it would take the ship and crew at least six to nine month to complete the round trip, not to mention the lack of the crew would leave us completely vulnerable to attack if one should happen. Plus we would not have the man power here to get everything ready for the extra body's that would be arriving."
