Bughead: autograph

Chapter 19

Back at Betty's apartment, jughead decided to take control of making dinner and told Betty to relax. She told him that after every shoot she likes to unwind by having a bath. "You do that then betts and when you come out I'll have dinner waiting for us" he said and quickly gave her a kiss before gently pushing her in the direction of the bathroom. When he heard the bathroom door shut, he set about getting dinner together. He knew Betty had troubles eating so he didn't know what to make and wasn't sure that she would appreciate pizza. Looking around her kitchen he spotted a cooking book; he opened it in hopes that he would find inspiration. When he opened it he saw Betty's handwriting, she'd wrote all these herself. He smiled as he saw she'd the dotted the 'i's with little hearts. He saw a dish for chicken with green beans and diced potatoes and she'd added a Polaroid with how each meal should look.

When Betty was out of the bath and put on some leggings and a sweatshirt she made her way back into the kitchen. She saw that jughead was just placing two plates onto the table. "Oh! Just in time" he smiled when he saw her. He pulled a chair out for Betty and she thanked him as she sat down. "Juggie this looks amazing" she smiled. "I took inspiration from your cook book... I hope you don't mind" he said and she shook her head and squeezed his hand "of course not... I know it's probably annoying for you to try and find food that I'll eat but I appreciate you bothering to find things that I will" she admitted. "You're my girlfriend... and I want you to be happy and comfortable" he smiled.

After dinner they cleaned up and then jughead had to leave to do a night shoot. "I don't want you to go" she whined. "Me neither babe" he said, hugging her. "I'll see you tomorrow... call me if you need anything" he said and kissed her before leaving. For some reason after he left Betty couldn't seem to relax, she seemed on edge and she didn't know why. She sighed and decided to just go straight to bed, and turning her phone off... not noticing the text from her mother....

When Jug got back from his shoot he unlocked his apartment and decided to Text Betty and then have a shower:

Jug: Hey gorgeous! Hope you're okay I'm home now... how was the rest of your night?

He put his phone and went to have a shower. After his shower he checked his phone and Betty hadn't responded, he thought it was a bit odd but he did worry about it because he knew she sometimes turned her phone off to have a break from social media. He didn't think anything of it and went to bed.

The next day when he woke up, Betty still hadn't text him back but they had a meeting at her office today so he would see her in an hour or two. After getting ready and leaving his apartment, he went to grab himself a coffee and Betty a tea and some breakfast pastries before heading to Betty's office. When he got in everyone was there, Cheryl, Reggie, Archie, Kevin, josie, val and veroncia. "Hey jug!" They all greeted. "Hey guys... is betts not here yet?" He said looking around. "No not yet" Cheryl said. He took a seat at the table and waited for his girlfriend. 10 minutes later Betty rushed through the door. She looked tired and her clothes were all disheveled. "Sorry!" She said. "I.. I'm so sorry" she said sitting down. Everyone just looked at her concerned. "Erm... are you okay?" Cheryl said and Betty nodded. "Yep just overslept" she lied. She turned to jug then and smiled. "Here" he said giving her the tea he brought her and the pastries. Betty looked between the tea and jughead and then burst into tears, leaving everyone worried....
