Chapter 30

"Betts be careful!" Jug said as Betty got out of the bed on her own. "I'm okay juggie" Betty smiled. Betty had been in the hospital for 3 days and she was finally able to go home. Jughead had agreed to stay with Betty for a while until she's completely healed from her injuries. "Do we have all our stuff?" Betty asked. "Yeah baby, I've already put them in the car" jug said, coming up to Betty and hugging her lightly. "Are you ready to go home?" He asked with a kiss to the head. "Yes. I just want my own bed" she sighed and jug chuckled. "Come on then betts" he said and lead her to the car.

"Home sweet home!" Betty announced when she walked into the apartment. "I came by yesterday and changed the sheets so you'd be comfy" jughead said. "You are the most amazing man Jughead Jones" Betty smiled as she wrapped her arms around him. "Thank you for looking after me" she said into his chest. "Always" he beamed. "I'm so tired" she yawned. "Let's get you in bed then" he said and picked her up bridal style and carried her into her bedroom as she giggled. He gently placed her onto the bed and covered her with the covers and blankets. She smiled up at him and his heart melted. "You're so adorable. Can I get you Anything?" He said. "Can I have a hot chocolate please?" She said sweetly and he nodded and left the room to go the kitchen. Jughead came back with two hot chocolates and climbed into bed next to her. "What am I supposed to do about work?" She asked as she took a sip. "Well... you're going to have to take a break baby for a little while you heal" he said, squeezing her closer to him. "What about my meet and greet?" She said. "The one on Saturday?" He said and she nodded. "We can move it" he informed her. "No... no we can't I promised people..." she sighed, tears pooling in her eyes. "Woah hey, baby" he said, putting his mug down and hers before wrapping her up in his arms. "We'll talk to Cheryl, and see if you can still do it... but only if you feel up to it Okay?" He said, not wanting her to he upset. "Okay" she sighed into his chest; they stayed in the position until she fell asleep and then he gently lay her down and spooned her until he fell asleep as well.

When jughead woke up, it was dark outside and the bed beside him was empty, he sat up but Couldn't see Betty. "Betts?" He called out but he got no response. He got out of bed, and went to find Betty. When he go into the main area of the apartment he saw Betty sat on the balcony, wrapped in a blanket. "Hey you" he said as he went to sit next to her and slinging an arm around her. "Hi" she sighed and snuggled into his chest, wrapping the blanket around both of them. "What are you doing out here?" He asked. "Just watching the city" she said. After a few moments of silence Betty said "after the meet and greet I think we should get away for a few days... maybe a vacation.... what do you think?". Jug lifted her chin up so he could kiss her softly. "That's a great idea... I'd follow you anywhere".
