The next week, Betty and jughead were preparing to head down to visit his dad and sister; it was going to be a surprise visit and they were finally going to be telling them about the baby. Betty was in their bedroom, sat with a bucket as her sickness had hit again, while she watched jughead pack their bags. "Anything else you want to take?" Jughead asked, placing some pyjamas in the suitcase. "I...can you put in one of your sweatshirts?" She asked and jug laughed and nodded. "Urgh! I feel so gross" Betty whined, rubbing her temples. "I'm sorry baby, hopefully a good nights sleep will make you feel better" jug said. "Me too, but for now I'm going to jump in the shower, will you be okay finishing the packing?" She asked him and jug nodded. "I'll be okay" he assured, kissing her head as she walked past him into the bathroom. Betty turned the shower on and sighed in relief as the warm water ran down her body; so far pregnancy had drained her energy and she couldn't wait for this part to be over. After about five minutes of being in the shower, Jughead walked in. "Sorry babe, I just need to grab some stuff to pack" he said, taking some stuff from the cupboard. "That's okay" she smiled. "Please can you grab my face mask, it's under the sink" she said and he nodded, picking it up and taking it back into their bedroom. After Betty's shower, she got out and wrapped a towel around her, before starting her skincare. "Okay! I'm all packed" jug grinned proudly when she started to get changed. "You're very proud of yourself" Betty giggled. "But thank you" she added, cupping his cheek and kissing him softly. "You're welcome baby, are you ready for bed?" He asked. "I just want to make some tea, to keep the nauseousness at bay while I sleep" she said and jug nodded. "Would you like me to make it?" He asked but Betty shook her head. "That's okay I'll do it, why don't you get ready for bed?" She said and jug nodded, kissing her before leaving the room. After making tea, Betty took it back to bed and sat reading a book while she waited for jughead to join her. "You're beautiful" jug smiled when he walked back in. "And you're handsome" she beamed, putting her book down and laying down. "Are you excited to tell your dad and jelly?" Betty asked as he pulled her into his arms. "I am" he nodded. "Are you sure it's not too early?" Betty worried. "We said we'd wait til twelve weeks, I know it's only eleven but what's one more week" jug shrugged. "We have the time off now and we don't know when we'll next have a break" he added and Betty nodded. "You're right" she said, pecking his lips. "Let's get some sleep baby..." jug whispered and they both drifted off to sleep.

The next morning, jughead and Betty woke up early and were in jugheads jeep, driving to visit FP and Jellybean. "You okay betts?" Jug asked when they started driving. "Feeling sick?" He asked but Betty shook her head. "I'm okay" she said, squeezing his hand from where it rested on her thigh. Luckily she didn't feel any morning sickness, but usually that came later in the day for her. "Okay, Just let me know if you do okay?" He said, glancing over at her. "I will" she assured. "I am hungry though" she said sheepishly and jughead laughed. "Me too baby, I'll stop at the next place I see" he told her. Half an hour later, jughead had pulled up at a diner and had gone in to get them both breakfast, while Betty waited in the car. "I come baring gifts" jug announced with a grin, getting back into the jeep. "I'm starving!" Betty exclaimed, taking the bag off him and grabbing the pancakes she'd asked for. "I also got you a hot chocolate" jug told her, Handing it to her. "Because I'm sorry baby, but until our little bug is born you're not allowed coffee" he said and kissed her lips when she pouted. "Do you want me to drive while we eat?" He asked. "No, we have time to sit here" she said and jug nodded, pulling out his own breakfast, a breakfast burrito and started eating. "We still haven't come up with a way to tell them you know" jug reminded her. "How about we just hand them the sonogram with no context?" She said. "We don't really have anything else planned" she giggled, and jug joined in with her laughter. "Let's do it" he agreed.

After breakfast, they carried on driving, only stopping once when Betty felt a little nauseous. "You okay?" Jug asked when Betty got out the car to pace. "I...sorry I just felt funny" she apologised. "It's okay, are you going to throw up?" He asked, watching as she walked back and fourth. "No, no I don't think so" she said, letting out a shaky sigh. "I...it's not sickness I just felt really anxious all of a sudden" she admitted. "Okay. What can I do?" Jug asked, gently placing his hands on her waist. "Just, can we stay here for a minute?" She asked, placing her head on his chest and taking some deep breaths, his scent washing over her, calming her nerves. "Of course we can" he said. After a few minutes, Betty pulled back and took a deep breath. "I'm okay now" she said. "Are you sure?" Jug asked, tucking a piece of hair behind her ear. "Yeah, sorry I don't know where that came from" she said. "You probably just got overwhelmed Betts, telling everyone is a big deal and you've been feeling really bad with the sickness, you're anxiety's probably going to be a bit high" he reassured her. "You're right" she agreed. "But I'm okay now" she said. "Okay.... are you ready to go and tell dad and jelly?" He asked, taking her hand. "So ready".
