"Betts?" Jughead asked, tentatively, stepping forward as she was yelling at her mother. Betty didn't even turn to look at him. "WHY THE HELL ARE YOU HERE?!" Betty screamed. Suddenly, the hotel doors opened and Polly came into view. "She's here Because of me..." Polly admitted and Betty's eyes went wide before anger flashed across her face. "Sorry...what?" Betty asked, venom in her voice. "I..we reconnected, after I came to see you, I wanted closure with mom and... we're rebuilding our relationship" Polly explained. "But why is she here?" Betty asked. "Because... you're getting married! And mom should be here!" Polly argued. "This is my wedding! My day!" Betty yelled. "You had no right! I don't want her here!" She added. "Betty... dad isn't here, you need our family here!" Polly said. "Don't! Do. Not. Bring dad into this" Betty hissed. "Who's even walking you down the aisle?" Polly asked. "Kevin" Betty Said. "Now leave!" Betty Said. "Both of you! Now!" She yelled. "Why?" Alice Said. "I hate you! And Polly you said you wanted to reconnect but you've broken my trust! So leave!" Betty screamed. "Betty~" Polly started But was cut off by Betty slapping her across the face... hard. The whole room fell silent. Betty was breathing heavily, Alice looked affronted and Polly was holding her face. "Now leave!" Betty said and left the room, heading to the barn where the reception was being held. Jughead and the boys were stood there for a moment, trying to process what had just happened. Polly and Alice were still stood there and jughead scowled at them. "I suggest you leave now... don't come back!" Jughead snapped before following after betty.
Jughead found Betty, sat on one of the tables in their reception, sobbing into her hands. "Betts..." he said, running over and wrapping her up in his arms as she sobbed. "Why does she ruin everything?!" Betty cried. "I'm sorry baby" jug said, his heart breaking at the sight of her. "I..i thought I could trust Polly!" She yelled, standing up and pacing. "Do you know how much it took for me to even see her? Let alone forgive her!" She said. "And then! I invite her to my WEDDING! And she does this!" Betty screamed. "Betts... Shh calm down honey" jug said, moving towards her and taking her hands. "Take some deep breaths with me" he said. "That's it" he encouraged, as she took some deep breath, trying to control her emotions. "It's all going to be okay" he said softly. "They haven't ruined anything my love" he assured her, squeezing her hands. "I... i won't have any of my family at my wedding..." she sniffed. "You will. I'm your family. My family will be your family and we have our friends, you are so loved betts" he smiled. Betty didn't say anything, just wrapped her arms around his waist and nuzzled her head into his chest as his arms came around her and held her close. After the couple had a few moments to theirselves, they made their way back to the others. Most of the guests were in their rooms but FP and jellybean were still there with Kevin, fangs, Sweetpea and Archie and Reggie. "You okay B?" Kevin asked and Betty nodded. "Betts I think us boys can handle the rest of the wedding prep, why don't you, jelly and Kevin head over to the spa for a little relaxation?" Jughead suggested. "Are you sure you're okay here?" Betty asked. "Of course! Go and relax" he smiled, holding her waist and kissing her softly. "Okay thank you" she smiled. "Love you" she added. "I love you too" he said, watching as she gathered her things and the three of them left.
While Betty was at the spa, jughead and the boys finished up all the prepping and once it was ready for the rehearsal dinner the next day, they all went home. Back at the apartment, jughead had a plan. He was going to plan a nice dinner surprise for Betty, to cheer her to and to get her excited again for their wedding. He made chicken and ordered chocolate cakes to be delivered, then he set about laying the table, adding candles and flowers everywhere. Once that was done, he went out on the balcony, and put down loads of blankets and cushions, and added fairy lights. When he was finally done, he checked his phone and saw he had a message from Betty, saying she was on her way home.
When Betty arrived home, she was in sweats and was relaxed and calmer from the spa. "I'm home!" She announced as she shut the door behind her and took her shoes off. She turned around and gasped at the sight of all the candles and jughead stood holding a bunch of roses. "Juggie..." she whispered, taking a step towards him. "Hey baby" he smiled, handing her the flowers. "What is all this?" She asked. "Well..." she started, guiding her into a seat at the table where their dinner was. "this is our last night just us two, as just boyfriend and girlfriend, just fiancés" he told her. "Tomorrow we won't be sleeping next to each other because of wedding traditions... so I thought we could have a nice night together before we get married" he smiled, kissing her head as he moved to sit opposite her. "Juggie... this is lovely" she smiled and he grabbed her hand over the table and grinned at her...
After they ate their dinner, jughead lead them outside onto the balcony; where once again, Betty was lost for words at how amazing jughead was. "I love you!" She squealed, jumping into his arms. "I love you too" he laughed, kissing her softly. "Come and sit with me" he said, sitting down on the blankets and holding his arms out for her. "I can't believe you've done all this..." she said, still in awe. "It doesn't get any better than this" she added and jughead smirked. "Oh really?" He said and pulled out the chocolate cake with two forks. "You'd didn't?" She beamed. "I did" he grinned and handed her a fork. Betty was sure that she fell even more in love with him right there and then, and she couldn't become his wife soon enough...
