I watched Artemis and Robin fight. The two of them dodged each punch and kick the other threw. Until Robin ducked around her and placed a solid kick to her back.

Artemis Fail

"Good job. Kaldur, you and Percy will be fighting." Canary looked at the two of us.

A smile crossed my features. This is going to be fun.

The two of us stood across from each other before Kaldur threw the first punch.

I tried to move out of the way, a small grimace appearing as he hit my shoulder.

He has gotten stronger.

But so have I.

The two of us exchanged blows, each looking for an opportunity to fell the other.

I found mine when he tried to punch me yet again, allowing me to grab his arm and flip him.

Aqualad Fail

"I always have been the stronger fighter." I smirked.

Kaldur stood up and dusted off his jacket. "Yet you are always the one to almost always ruin an operation."

I glared at him, guilt settling over me. "Without me, you would have been dead ten times over Fish Head."

"Without you I would have never been in the situation to begin with. Honestly, how I ever dealt with you is beyond me."

"Break it up. You two need to work through your differences before Percy goes out in the field. Every mission you have always goes from covert to blowing up buildings and I doubt arguing will make that any better." Canary placed a hand on Kaldur's shoulder.

"Of course." He nodded, but I caught the way he looked at me. We are in no way done.

"Connor, Wally. You two are up."

As the two of them started their fight, I sat on the ground.

But I got back up when I saw Kaldur walking towards the living room.

"You have gotten stronger." I said, sitting on the arm of the couch.

He barely glanced at me. "You should not be here Percy."

"Why?"

"Because you are a liability." He growled. "Everytime you attempt to help, you end up making things worse. I am trusted to keep this team safe and I do not want or need unnecessary risks such as yourself."

I averted my gaze, now staring at the blank screen of the television.

He's right.

If he truly cares about them...why wouldn't he want me gone? I get everyone around me killed.

Everytime I think it's going to be fine, every dam time I think everyone is going to come out fine...

They die.

Before I could start crying, I grabbed the remote and turned on the television.

"-six bodies recovered from a destroyed temple in Greece. The cause of the-" I turned the channel, tears beginning to fall down my face.

"-stab wounds, burns-"

"-appear to be teenagers, possibly tourists who-"

I kept flipping through the channels, every single one seemed to be talking about the same thing. "Do you only have the news?" My voice shook.

Kaldur grabbed a different remote before switching the input.

"Thanks." I wiped my eyes.

He stood up. "You need to stop being so overemotional. They were simply some teenagers."

And then he walked away, leaving me to my crying.

How is it that I have cried twice in these two days? I have never cried this often. Not even after the first war.

"Are you okay Percy?" Megan flew over and rested a hand on my shoulder. "Connor said he heard crying."

"I am fine. I caught the tail end of a sad movie. And I tend to be emotional." I lied through my teeth.

"Do you want to make cookies then? Canary left so we can do pretty much whatever unless we end up with a mission."

"Cookies? I will assist you. Although I apologize if I get in your way. It has been quite a while since I have made any."

She smiled and started gathering the ingredients while I searched for the cookie sheets.

We worked in comfortable silence, measuring out and mixing ingredients.

"Do you have food coloring?" I asked.

"Yes, here you go."

A box flew at my head and I barely caught it before it hit my face.

"I'm so sorry! I wasn't paying attention. It wasn't on purpose I swear!"

I laughed and removed the blue food coloring from the box. "It is fine. Do you want to color yours as well?" I handed her the box before putting a few drops in.

"Um...no thank you.

A little bit later and the cookies were done.

"Blue, one of the best colors out there if I may say." I smiled as I took a bite out of a cookie.

Megan grinned and her skin turned blue. "How's it look?"

I laughed. "No offense Megan, but I prefer blue to be on my cookies. But how did you do that?"

"I'm a Martain. Shapeshifting is one of my powers." Her skin turned back to green. "Uh...what are your powers? Are they like Kaldur's?"

I nodded. "Yes, we share many of the same powers."

"Sweet, cookies!" Wally rushed over and tried to grab as many as he could carry, but Megan lifted them up into the air.

"These are for everyone Wally."

"Pft. I knew that, I was- I was going to take some to Rob."

"I'd be seriously mayed if that happened." Speaking of Robin, he entered the kitchen. "Toss me one."

I jumped up and grabbed a cookie, pretending to throw it before gently tossing it him.

"Oh come on!" Wally looked at his empty hands.

"You're the one who fell for it." Artemis rolled her eyes. "Megan can Connor and I, the two who didn't try to steal the cookies like a three year old, have some?"

I laughed and grabbed another cookie before handing it to Wally. "Here you are."

"Thanks sugar." He flashed me a smile.

Hearing a noise behind me, I turned to see Kaldur glaring.

"Choke on a cookie Fish Head." I rolled my eyes.
