Hope's POV
"So how does she know everything?" I questioned Ruby.
"Well-" She started but Carlos cut her off. Rude much!!
"Her mother is one of the remaining females that were chosen years ago." Ruby nodded in agreement.
"She taught me everything I needed to know," she turned to Carlos, "she also said that you would be coming as soon as my powers were activated."
Jasmine stood up, "I'm gonna make some food. I'll call you guys when I'm finished." We nodded and Oniah got up agreeing to help Jasmine with dinner.
Ruby cleared her throat, "When are we leaving?"
"The day after tomorrow so we have enough time to drop you home so you can pack a bag." Carlos replied.
"I already have a bag ready." She turned and looked outside. Then she turned and looked at Carlos as if she remembered something, "One more thing, my mom said that you should say hi to Damian for her." Carlos nodded then got up.
"I'm going to the bathroom. I'll be back shortly." We both nodded and watched as he walked out.
"He's really cute." I nodded in agreement, "I wonder who's the lucky girl that got to tie him down."
I giggled and she looked at me weirdly. Smiling I replied, "That lucky girl would be me." She stared at me in shock and grinned.
"Oh my god! You are so lucky!!" I nodded and blushed but decided to change the topic.
"So do you have the necklace now?" She shook her head.
"It's at home so I'll bring it tomorrow." I nodded and excused myself, heading to my room. One the way out I bumped into Carlos. I looked up and saw him smirking.
"What's so funny?" I said while raising my eyebrows. He shook his head and looked away biting his lips. My eyebrows raised once more at this because that's his face either when he's lying or nervous. I saw a glint in his eyes but as soon as it came, it vanished.
"What are you plan-hey!" I was suddenly cut off by him picking me and running outside.
"Carlos," I dragged out, "Where are we going?"
He simply ignored me and continued running, carrying me like a sack of potatoes on his shoulder. I looked down and saw sand and smelt the sea, hearing the waves crash and rise and fall near the shore.
"Carlos! My butt is on full display to everyone here!" I screeched. He laughed and I felt the vibrations from his back.
"There's hardly anyone around here, so relax." He stopped running and laid me down on the warm sand. My vision was blurry but before I could look around, he blindfolded me. I groaned out loud and reached for his arm.
"Calm down there princess. You might grab something else." He said and I could just tell that he was smirking/ winking. I froze mid air and retracted my arm slowly. He laughed and with my amplified hearing, I located him right in front of me. While his defenses were down I quickly jumped on him. We both went tumbling into the slightly cold water.
