Ruby's POV
***FLASHBACK***
I ran into the water and hopped into my motor boat. I loved exploring the hidden caves that were on the side of the cliff my house stood on. Turning on the motor, the boat shot across the water. I looked around slowly scanning the area where I once found a cave; but because it was getting dark in the cave I had to hurry.
Remembering the location, I scanned the water for the opening and finally found it. Pulling on my goggles, I turned off the boat, threw down the little arch, then stood at the side of the boat. Making sure my oxygen tank was working properly, I jumped into the water. I dived with a splash and all the fish around me scattered. I swam closer to the cave entrance and swam right through.
The cave was mainly underwater but had small air with a short path of rocks to step on. The cave was really dark but I made sure to bring my underwater flashlight. Swimming up to the platform of rocks, I pulled myself up and turned on my flashlight. The beam lit up the dark cavern so I could be able to see where to step. Coming up to a wall, I surveyed the area. There wasn't a lot to see so I was slightly disappointed.
I sighed and began to turn around when my foot caught the edge of something, almost making me trip. I caught my balance and looked down to see the cause of my almost fall. It was a tiny chest with little gems decorating it. Picking up the box, I examined it. It had no lock on it but when I tried to open it, it wouldn't budge. Using all my strength, I opened the box. It popped open and flew out of my hands. A necklace flew out of the box and so I grabbed it.
The box landed with a loud clatter causing the sound to echo. The place went silent. Suddenly I heard a squeak, then many others followed.
"Shit!" I muttered.
Only one time I've encountered squeaks like that; Vampire Bats! They all swarmed down surrounding me. Their claws scraped my arms and legs but it wasn't that painful. But after, I felt an excruciating pain running through my arms. Looking at it, I saw a red bat on my arm. Bats aren't red!! I flung my shoulder trying not to scream and upset the bats any further. It flew off. I stuffed the necklace in my diving suit pocket and ran towards the water. I jumped quickly into the water and swam back to my boat.
**** FLASHBACK END****
".....by the time I got home, I was extremely drained so I wrapped my bite mark and fell asleep."
Everyone gasped at my story. Oniah grinned, "that's so awesome!" I smiled brightly at her allowing a small blush to creep onto her face.
"But, how did you know that I was the Blue Wolf?"
I turned to Hope and smiled, "when I woke up and removed my bandage, there was a red bat tattoo there. It frightened me so I screamed without thinking. Had my mom rushing in, but when she saw the mark, she told me everything."
