Letters - Carrie:
-Letter #1-
Dear Samuel,
It's not often that I write to you - or anyone for that matter, but it is still important to get this down to you to avoid any confusion or explaining. I think, anyway.
Before I begin, though, let's focus on a few positives. I heard you had recently been appointed to Bishop of a church in America, and I would like to congratulate you on a well earned position. I think it is the first proper role that I am glad to know you by - no, I wasn't particularly proud of the poster boy phase you went through.
Anyway, bringing back to the topic at hand, I believe that - while you may not agree - my time in England with the King is up.
I just cannot stand it, Samuel! Being a maid is so tiring, and what's worse is that we don't get to do anything - not even prayers in the morning!
And so, I am coming to you, dear brother; I am arriving by boat very soon, not too sure when, but soon. Do not worry about how, you know me: always finding away.
Prepare the house, Samuel, for I have nowhere else to stay - though I can imagine you already dusting your desk (absent minded, I am sure) as you read this.
I wish you all the best, though wishes will be of no use to me when I can see you in person!
Sincerely,
Carrie S.
Heyy y'all, this was written by the amazingly talented Hannah (Eliza). All le kudos to her!
