"Now tell us, who has it?" Barked the guard, sending anothing whip to Zara's back.
Letting out a whimper, she just glared at the guard. Blood dripped down her back and onto the cold stone ground. Chains dug into her wrists and left a burning pain. "I will never let the likes of you know where such a thing is located" Zara spat at the guard.
He picked up the spiked stick and wacked her back with it, sending shots of pain all around her. "Then stay here and die!" He growled. He threw the Torture weapons down and left the dungeon.
Zara hung there in pain, she tried desperately to ignore the excruciating pain. Her thoughts drifted to 16 years ago, the day she left her child on a warm summers day. She closed her eyes, envisioning the soft red curls of her baby, and her beautiful sapphire eyes that stared up at her as she turned away from the child. Her heart ached to see her again.
"my child" she whispered, " I will find you."

My heart started burning suddenly, I clenched my chest and bent down. I dropped the chain and squeezed my eyes shut.
"Are you alright? Vulpine asked with concern.
I slowly nodded, the rattling of chains made me glance up. I saw Kyron running away into the forest. I let out a smirk then turned.
My wings spread out with a stretch and my tail whipped around. My claws dug into the ground before I threw myself forward toward the prisoner and grabbed him in my claws. His screams filled my ears, causing me to laugh. I soared high up into the sky before dropping him.
He flailed around as he fell from the sky, screaimg in fear. I let him fall for a while before diving down and scooping him up as he neared the ground. I set him on the floor as he started breathing heavily before passing out. I glanced at Vulpine who looked rather shocked and confused.
"Well, why is he sleeping?" she questioned. I gave her a shrug, turned back into my human and slipped on some clothes.
"So, earlier I felt a sharp pain in my chest, do you know anything about it?" I asked, trying to act casual. Vulpine layed down next to me, and gave a big sigh.
"I am not the most educated on this subject but I can guess that the reason the king wants to capture you is because of something you were born with... I'm not sure what significance it holds for I am not a dragon so my knowledge is limited." She told me. I nodded as if I umderstood what exactly she was saying but in all honesty I didnt.
I looked at some strangely shaped trees and edged toward them cautiously.
"Is she coming? " I heard. I quickly jumped and turned but got caught by my ankle and fell to the floor.
"Be careful Tontu! Shes a dragon!" I heard a more feminine voice say as the sound of earth shifting filled my ears. I turned my head and saw the trees lift out of the ground. My eyes widened in bewilderment. Vulpine and Kyron stood there as suprised as I was.
"My apologies for startling you, I am Tontu of the tree folk, and this Samia my wife" Tontu said with a bow as he released me. His branch knocking Kyron on the head causing him to scowl, causing me to laugh.
"Dragon, why are you headed towards the castle? " questioned Samia "Dont you know that from this point till there, there are maany dragon hunters roaming around?"
I hesitated to answer before Tontu gasped. "They are coming quick!" and with that Tontu and Samia grabbed the three of us and began to submerge into the earth. My eyes widened in horror before I was engulfed into the earth. Tje last thing I saw was Kyron and Vulpine squirming uncontrollably and staring at me with crazed eyes.
I couldn't see or hear anything for about 10 seconds before we fell into a cavern underground and landed on soft moss. I coughed and wiped the dirt off of me. Vulpine galloped over to me and smiled.
"do you know where we are?" She said with excitement in her eyes. "we are In the home of the tree folk." she looked passed me and I followed her glance and my heart skipped a beat in awe.
Lights shown through the cave entrance and through it was a gigantic room with homes, parks, and benches of the tree folk. In the center was a house bigger than the rest which I asume is for the council.
It was breathtakingly beautiful, water surrounded it and it shown with blue and green lights and fish jumped about through the air. Butterflies and birds flew around. Tree folk wandered around and conversed with smiles on their faces. Of course everything seemed bigger to us because the trees were twelve feet while we were not.
"We were sent to get you because it is time for you to take back your kingdom, we are entrusted with the secrets of the dragons and the prophecy will explain it all to you, follow me." said Tonto. We followed obediently throught the town. Kyron looked amazed and dumb. As we neared the center home I heard an old voice say something before the door flung open and a gust of wind nearly knocked me off my feet.
" It is here, it is...here" Said an old tree that stood in the doorway. His eyes went wide before softening and a tear escaped from them. "It is the dragon heart."
