Under pressure

49: 2017

Time jump. The last chapter was 2016 end of summer. Now it's 2017, end of summer. They're gonna be seniors now.

Betyy's POV

With Jason and Chic gone now as well, Cher moved to Jordan's and Jason's old room. Jor has nothing against it. Both Jelly and Cheryl can get more privacy now.
So from our lunch gang, there are only me, Jug, Ronnie, Archie, Sweets, Cher, Fangs and Toni left. Arch and Josie broke up, but Reggie and Ronnie are still together so it's hard for them to be apart.

"Betts?" I hear dad's voice, "You in here?"

"Yeah, just a minute," I say, tightening a lever under a car.

In a few minutes, I slide out and sit up. He chuckles and squats down in front of me, "You're dirty," he says.

I shrug, "Obviously."

He smirks, "Here. Dinner," he says.

I smile, "Thanks." I look into the Pop's bag. My vanilla milkshake, fries and a cheeseburger. Plus a bag of onion rings.

"You have an hour. Then I'm taking you home."

"Taking ME home?" I ask with raisen eyebrows. "Aren't you gonna come?" I ask while eating.

He rolls his eyes, "Obviously, but the point is to take you home."

"Why?" I ask, still eating.

"Mm I don't know, because you're going to school tomorrow?"

I roll my eyes, "It's our senior year and I'm accepted to college."

"Thst doesn't mean you can miss the first day," he smirks at me.

I shrug, making him roll his eyes with a smile, "You're incredible."

"Mmh," I say, acknowledging it.

"You have an hour," he says and kisses my forehead and then gets up.

"With eating and cleaning up?" I ask.

He nods. I groan and then whine, "Da-ad."

"No-ooo," he whines back at me and gets up. I sigh.

"I'll clean up the rest," he says.

I nod. "Thanks," and keep eating.

70 minutes later

"Hey," I say go Jug, Sweets and Fangs in our living room.

They all look at me, "Hey."

"Wow, have you seen youeself from the mirror?" Fangs asks.

"Shut up, I tried to get it off," I say and walk to Jug. I squat down in front of him, ready to sit on the ground.
