July 2nd
Betty's POV
I go downstairs to dad who is just finishing his breakfast and starting to go to work. I lean down a little and peck his cheek.
He smiles at me, "What's that for?"
I shrug taking a can of Mountain Dew from the fridge. I sit dow next to him.
"Good breakfast," he says.
I smile big, "I know."
He rolls his eyes and I giggle quietly, opening it. "I should stop buying that crap for you," he says.
"You won't," I day after swallowing the first sip nd keeping drinking.
He smirks, knowing damn well he won't. I'm not the only one who enjoys them.
"Jug's staying with Fangs and Sweets for another night," he tells me.
I nod, "I know. He called me. That's why I'm up so early," I say, kinda annoyed.
He chuckles, "It's 10." And stands up. He washes his plates and then puts a plate of two pancakes in front of me.
"Oh, I'm going surfing, Jelly's coming with me," I inform him. Just in case.
He nods, "Be careful. And eat."
He kisses my hair, "See you tonight."
"Yeah, bye," I smile as he goes out of the kitchen and then in a minute, out of the house.
I eat the two pancakes with the Riverdale's very own, Maple Syrup. The others are all out somewhere already. It's summer. Can't these people enjoy a good sleep?
"Ready to go?" I ask Jelly after leaving my dishes in the kitchen sink. She's just coming downstairs.
"Do you think I could tube ride?" she asks me.
I chuckle, "As in if the waves are normal or if you're capable of that?"
"Both."
I smirk and open the front door. "It's windy, but warm. Meaning the wind is from the sea. If we see a good wave, it can be possible, but there's never a way of knowing if the tube will come or not."
"And...?" she asks with a big smile as she's leaning against me and my arms around her now.
"I think you might be ready," I tell her, making her smile so big and jump up and down. I chuckle, "Don't get excited."
She nods. We grab our skateboards. We got her one for her birthday. She can surf, she can skate. I mean not the tricks, but she can ride it normally without falling or looking too bad.
"You're wearing swimclothes?" she asks just in case.
I roll my eyes, "Always."
She giggles and we run and jump on our boards. "Reggie and Archie should be at the beach," I tell her, seeing that Archie's bicicle isn't in front of his house.
"With girls?" she asks.
I nod, "Veronica and Josie I hope. Everyone's changing girlfriends lately."
She giggles, "Well then it's good that you have a boy."
I smirk, "Yeah. I hope he doesn't change me any time soon."
She rolls her eyes, "Jug?"
I smirk, "You're right. He loves me."
"Too much. It's gross."
