Betty's POV

"Betty. Why is the police here?" Jelly asks me.

"It's okay. Just be quiet," I say quietly.

She holds on from me tighter. Some policemen come out of te car just s we're about to pass the Southside sign. We're on the bridge.

"Stop right here," one of them says. We all hit breaks. I put my foot on the ground but won't get ofd the longboard.

"What are you kids doing with the Serpent?" one asks and points at Jug who is wearinf the jacket.

I sigh, "Is Sheriff Keller in that car?" I ask.

They nod. "Can I talk to him?" I ask.

They sigh and knock on the window. He comes out from the driver's seat. I smile at him.

"Hi, Mr. Keller," I say.

"Hey Betty," he smiles and then says hey to all te others too, since they're all Kevin's friends as well.

"You kids can't pass here," he says.

"Why not? What's happening?" I ask.

"It's dangerous. People have died. And don't start asking details, I'm not letting you investigate this, Nancy Drew," he tells me, making me chuckle.

"You let my mom and Fred Andrews through," I say.

"They were with a cars. Why do you need to get through?"

I sigh, "Some people lost their homes, their families, and everything. We donated some stuff and would like to give them over ourselves," I say.

He sighs, "Where are you heading?"

"The Whyte Whyrm," Jug says.

Keller looks at Jug, who is now next to me and his hand is on Jelly's hair.

"Jughead Jones, right?" he asks.

"Yes sir," Jug says.

Keller smiles a little, "Heard a lot about you.. Okay. You all go through, but be careful. And I'm driving next to you," he says.

I smile, "Thank you," I say.

"Do some of you want a ride?" he asks.

I look at Jelly, "You wanna go eoth him?" I ask.

She shakes her head, looking scared. I smile a little and kiss her hair. "Is it okay, if we come?" Cher asks.

"Sure, Cheryl. But you have to sit in the back," he smirks.

Cher chuckles, "Totally coming."

"Rad, I'm coming too, Mr. Keller," Chic says and they get in the back with Jason and Cheryl.

"Okay, one can sit in front," Keller says to us.

"No, I'm gonna stay out here just in case," Jordan says and coms closer to us.

"Yeah me too," Jug says.

He smiles and nods and gets into the car.

"Jelly, it's okay. Hold on," I say.

She presses her arms even tighter around me. We start rolling through the Southside, the police car following us. I see some people running inside and locking their doors as they see the police.

Once we get to the bar, FP looks shocked at first, but then relaxes as they all get out of the car.

"Thanks Tom," he says.
