Katsuki's POV

They took Izuku off into another room and put him to sleep for the surgery. I've been pacing in the waiting room with Auntie Inko for hours; I'm terrified. Even though the chance is low, the doctors can still fuck up somehow.

We wait there for another 2 hours. 'What the hell is taking so long?' As soon as I finish that thought a doctor steps into the room and Auntie Inko sprints to him. "Is my son alright doctor?!" The guy looks at her in surprise, but after a while, his face relaxes into a comforting smile. "No worries ma'am the operation was a complete success. He just needs time to recover." We both sigh in relief that everything went okay. The doctor finishes talking with Auntie on the things he can and can't do and turns to me. "Are you the boy that will be taking care of Midoryia Izuku?" I nod in response.

"I'm sure he has already talked to you about what this procedure was all about so I'm going to spare you the details. When Midoryia recovers completely from the operation we would like to demonstrate how to inject the medicine in the back capsule. Will you comply." I think about it but agree. It would be easier if I learn beforehand.

~Time Skip~

After a week of constant complaining of back pain and sleepless nights, Deku was finally stable enough to give the new implant a try. The type of disease that Deku has basically sucked the life out of him and makes him weak. When we caught the illness it was already to late and it had spread to his eyes, damaging them beyond repair. Thankfully we got treatment for it to stop the spreading, but there was no real cure to get rid of it completely.

This 'port' on his back is supposed to make his life a little more normal and for him to be more mobile. It's sad that it took this long to get it.

The nurses enter the room with a tray of different types of needles and shiny objects. Thankfully Izuku can't see these or he'd be freaking out. "Okay Midoryia we're going to start the demonstration now, would you mind taking off your shirt so we can remove the bandages." Deku gives him a nod and starts to take off his shirt. With my help obviously, he's still sore from the surgery. The doctor motions us to him so I help Deku out of bed.

We walk over where the tray is and stand there waiting for instruction. The doctor turns Izuku around and starts taking off the bandages from his back. The sudden touch of the doctor startles him so in a reflex he starts reaching out, trying to feel where I am. I stand in front of him and once he finds me he grabs on my arms tightly. I can tell he's scared. "T-Thank you Kacchan." He whispers to me. He's shaking in my arms so I lean down a little and kiss his forehead to calm him down.

Once his checkup was over the doc stands up and makes his way to the tray, grabbing a white cylinder shaped pen with liquid in it. He then screws a needle to the end of it making it look more like a syringe. "Now watch carefully Bakugo Katsuki." He leans down again to the cavity and places the syringe inside, causing it to lock in place. Izuku tenses up at the feeling and tightens his grip on my arms. But it only got worse from there.

All hell broke loose when the doc pressed a green button on the tool. Deku started screaming from the top of his lungs and started digging his nails into my arms. It hurt like hell, but I couldn't imagine how much pain Deku was in. It got so overwhelming for him that he bit my shoulder to stop yelling. It hurt like a bitch.

Minutes felt like hours, but he finally unscrewed the top. I guess the pain stopped when the doc let go because he fell straight to his knees; I could barely catch him. "What the hell was that?!" I was pissed. No one said that it would be this painful for him. And he was supposed to take this every 6 hours. That would be brutal!

"We've already warned Midoryia and his mother of the dangers. Doing this won't kill him, but it'll have a hell of a lot of pain." I looked at Izuku who was still trying to catch his breath in my arms. "Are you sure you'll be able to handle this every day?" I ask. "I'll..hah...I'll be...fine...hah..." he calmed himself down and steadied his breathing before continuing. "I-if this is what it takes for our dreams to come true than bring it on!" He gave me a weak, but genuine smile.
"Whatever you say Deku."
