(4) Frankie Gets A Job

After Christmas and her continuing to ignore Bucky's attempts to apologize she got a job since she told her mom she was bored now that she wasn't doing cheer. But first she went to her older sister Leah to get her hair done. She showed up at school with her hair half red half still blonde. Bucky did a double take when he seen it and he walked over to her ."What the fuck have you done to your hair?'

"Last time I checked I don't want to be your friend so I don't have to tell you anything." she said 

"Frankie.. why would you do this to your hair?" he said as she walked away from him. 

That afternoon she pulled it back into a ponytail and went inside Buffalo Wild Wings. The manager was in need of immediate help so he did her interview on the spot and then he hired her on the spot for a server job. "You wait here while I go get you your shirts and apron." the manager said

"Thank you." she said as she was waiting she heard someone say her name. 

She looked up and said "Liam.. what are you doing here?' 

"Well I work here obviously but um I work here in between practices." LIam said 

"Oh.." she said 

"Yeah.. I like the hair by the way." he said

She smiled and said "Thanks I needed a change." 

The manager came up and said "Here's your shirts and apron and we will see you tomorrow at 430PM" 

"Thank you so much Marcus" She said 

Marcus said 'Thank you for coming in when you did." 

Liam said "I better go check my tables but I'll see you tomorrow at school." 

"Yeah' she said with a smile. 

The next day at school Liam came up to her at her locker. "Hey Frankie..I have a question." Liam said 

"Oh hey Liam.. what's your question?' she said

"Do you want to car pool with me?" he said 

"I would love too." she said with a smile 

"Can I walk you to class." he said

"Yeah." she said as she shut her locker. 

They walked down the hallway and started talking. Bucky seen them and swallowed hard "Frankie..' he whispered. 

A few weeks later they closed and they were sitting in her driveway. "Um can I take you to the movies tomorrow night." he said 

"I would love too." she said 

He said 'can I kiss you.' 

"Yeah.." she said 

He leaned over the console and he cupped her cheek as he kissed her. They started to make out in his front seat then he moved the console of his truck and he scooted her closer as they continued to make out. Once they broke the kiss she said "Best first kiss ever". 

He smiled and kissed her one more time and said "Good night darlin see you tomorrow." 

The next day he had basketball practice and then in the locker room Deacon said "So Liam you have been spending a lot of time with little Ms Frankie Bowling you tapping that yet." 

"Um no" he said 

"What about kissing those pouty lips she has." Declan said

"Oh yeah I did that last night. My god they are perfect hard to believe no one hasn't tried to kiss them before." Liam said 

Bucky felt like a knife had been thrown straight through his heart. Why would Frankie lie about it being her first kiss he thought to himself. 

"You mean to tell me that no boy has kissed those lips my god. " Deacon said 

"I know I was surprised too." Liam said 

Bucky shut his locker and Steve said "Buck what's wrong." 

"I have to go." he said 

Bucky left the locker room and got in his truck. He drove home and he knocked on the door to Frankie's house. Sadie answered the door and said "James." 

"Is Frankie home." he said

"No I"m sorry honey she's not. She's having lunch with her dad today." she said 

"Okay.. um tell her that I need to talk to her." he said 

"Okay I will." Sadie said 

Bucky waited on the front porch of his house for her to come home. Then he seen her pull in and he walked over to her and said "Why did you lie to Liam." 

"Because I will never count what we did as my first kiss cause it didn't mean anything to you. Now I have to get ready for my date." she said as she walked away. 

He walked back to his house and got on his dirt bike and rode out to family farmland and drove around all day. James came home from work and said "Where's my boy." 

"He took off on his dirt bike hours ago after he talked to Frankie. " Winnie said 

James got in his truck and drove out to the family farmland and saw him riding the track he made with his dad the summer before. He saw his dad standing in front of his truck and he rode over to him and he took off his helmet and he said "Hey dad." 

"Hey mom said you took off after you talked to Frankie which means you are upset." he said 

"Dad at Nat's Halloween party I gave Frankie her first kiss even though I knew it would only hurt her cause she's in love with me. She lied to her boyfriend and told him the kiss that he gave her was her first it's Liam Jones he's on the football team and basketball team they met at work and started to hang out at school." he said 

"Okay.. and what did Frankie say when you confronted her." James said 

"She said that she will never consider the kiss we shared would never be considered her first cause it didn't mean anything on my end." he said 

"So that's why you are out here." James said 

"Dad I may not like her in that way but it hurt to hear Liam say that she said it was her first kiss. She use to be my best friend and now she barely speaks to me. She goes and does something crazy to her hair and quits cheer." he said 

"James honey she's just trying to get over you. She is going to heal her own heart the way she wants. It broke her heart when you asked her to help you make your homecoming proposal for Courtney. You continue to break her heart that's why she pushed you away. You can' get mad at her for it." James said 

"I just miss my best friend." he said 

"I know you do son." James said as he hugged him. 

About a month later the day after Valentine's day the boys were in the locker room. "So Jones have you tapped that yet." 

Liam smiled and said "Baby girl enjoyed her night last night let's just say that." 

"Hell yeah." they all said 

Bucky dropped his water bottle and spilled all over the floor. "She was amazing definitely can tell she use to cheer and those boobs my god they can put on a damn show." Liam said 

Steve came over and covered Bucky's ears and said "Breathe man." 

"Are those puppies real." Deacon said

"All natural boys those boobs are all Francesca." he said 

Steve and the boys helped get Bucky out of the locker room without punching Liam for being such a dick talking about Frankie like that.
