(8) We Made A Baby..

The morning after Black Friday Frankie was in her bathroom taking test after test she was late and she had been sick and her boobs were sore. She took 5 different pregnancy tests and they all said positive. Deacon texted her "Baby where are you? The signing ceremony starts in 20 minutes." 

She put them all in a Ziploc bag and put them in her purse then got in her jeep. She wiped tears as she drove to the school. She pulled in beside his truck and he said "baby what's the matter." 

"We um we need to talk." she said 

"Okay baby you are scaring what's the matter." he said 

She opened his passenger door and laid all 5 on the passenger seat. "I'm pregnant." she said 

He looked at each of them and he said "Oh god." 

"That would make be due In June" she said 

"Which means you can't go with me." he said as he felt a pit in his stomach. 

"Taylor let's go" Declan yelled from the door of the school. 

She looked at him and he said "I'm sorry baby I have to go sign those papers. We will discuss this more after the thing is over okay." 

"Deacon..I can't fly out to UCLA with a newborn. You will miss the birth." she said

"We will discuss it after this baby let's go." he said as he slammed the door of his truck. He was practically dragging her into the school. Bucky signed his scholarship to UGA as well as Steve Clint and Sam. The girls signed their scholarships there as well. Then it was Deacon's turn and she looked at him with tears in her eyes and he looked at her as she wiped tears away. He started to sign the papers and she walked out. 

Nat and Bucky looked at each other "Something's wrong." Nat whispered 

Frankie got her pregnancy tests out of his truck and she left the school. She drove to Savannah to see her dad and talk to him about what to do and ended up spending the night at his house. Deacon blew up her phone trying to find her the only person that knew where her dad lived was Bucky nobody else knew and she knew Bucky wouldn't tell him if he tried to ask him. Her dad's place was her safe haven. 

She came late Sunday night and showed up at school Monday morning. "Where the fuck have you been all weekend?" Deacon said when she pulled in. 

"I had to leave Deacon I had to get away and clear my head to figure out what I have to do for me and the baby since you made it clear that you didn't give a shit about the situation." she said as she started to walk away and he pulled her back to him. 

"Where did you go baby I was worried." he said

"I went to my grandma's house in Savannah." she said 

"Oh ..okay." he said 

He walked in behind her as she went to turn in her cheer stuff and Bucky pulled her under the stairs. "What's gong on with you? I saw you crying Saturday. And I know when you don't come home on the weekends you go see your dad." he whispered

"Don't worry about it okay.. I've got it handled I don't need you okay. " she said 

"Francesca" he whispered 

"I"ve got taken care of okay." she said as she walked away. 

That afternoon she made Deacon go with her to the doctor's appointment. The doctor started up the ultrasound and he said "We are 10 weeks along heart beat is strong and we are due June 24th. " 

Deacon looked down and she wiped tears. That night her mom talked to her with her dad on speakerphone trying to figure out what to do. She accepted her academic scholarship to UNC cause her aunt said she would let her live with her cause she had two extra bedrooms. 

The next day she told Deacon her plan and he looked down. "I'm sorry darlin.." he said 

"I need to know what you want your part to be." she said 

"Um.. well it's not like she/he will ever see me so it's best that you do what you think is best for the baby." he said

"So you don't want to be involved at all." she said 

"No..I don't want to be like my dad whose in and out of the baby's life so it's best if I stay gone and the baby not know who I am." he said 

She wiped tears and said "Well.. then we should end this now." as she walked into school alone. 

Nat came up to her and said "Hey why did you quit again." 

"I had to okay that's all you need to know." she said 

"What's wrong?' Wanda said

"Me and Deacon broke up." she said as she walked away from her friends. 

As the school year continued she started to pull away and keep her growing baby bump under wraps as best she could. Bucky knew that Deacon and her ended things but nobody knew why.
