Bucky saw Frankie loading up her car two days after graduation. "Frankie.." he said
She looked down and he said "Please don't leave still mad at me. Where are you going?'
"I am um going to UNC." she said
"Frankie.." he said as he started to get closer.
"Don't.. stop." she said
"Frankie.. why won't you let me see you." he said
"Just cause okay.. I have to get on the road." she said
"Frankie please just let me see you. I miss my best friend and I'm sorry for everything. I"m sorry for not taking into consideration of your feelings that night and I'm sorry that I didn't feel the same way. I'm sorry for the things I said about you to Liam but don't you dare get in that car without patching things up with me. I will never forgive myself for hurting the one person I swore I would never hurt but darlin please let me have my best friend back."
"Um I have to go Bucky." she said
"Frankie .." he said
"James Buchanan I have to go. You were the first boy to ever break my heart and I can't forgive you for that I loved you and you couldn't love me back cause I'm not like the girls you date. I get that now I understand now that all I have ever been is the little sister to you the best friend and so I'm sorry that I can't forgive you for that." she said
He looked down and said "Okay..I get it. "
"I have to go..I'm going to college at UNC and probably never coming back here again unless its to visit my parents. Macon GA is no longer a good place for me." she said
"Frankie.." he said
"Goodbye James." she said then the door hid her belly cause he was still looking down hiding the tears that were forming.
She shut the door and started up her jeep and pulled out of the driveway. "Buck.. I hope one day you will find that girl that you can finally settle down with. " she said then she pulled away.
He watched as her car slowly disappeared then he whispered "Frankie don't go." as her words ran in his ears "Probably never coming back."
He stood there as tears fell down his cheeks. Winnie walked out and said "James honey.. what are you staring at." then she saw tears.
"Baby what's wrong?" she said
"I love her.. what have I done mom. Why now why is it now that she's gone I realize that I do love her. Why not 4 years ago when she wanted to hear the words I couldn't say them." he said
Winnie hugged him and said "Shh baby it's alright shh.. sometimes it takes the other person leaving for the other one realize their true feelings for the other person. You just have to pray and hope that you get your chance baby okay just have faith that one day you will get that chance to tell her okay." as Bucky cried hysterically in his mom's arms.
Bucky cried himself to sleep for a week. She had changed her phone number so he had no way of getting ahold of her cause she also wasn't answering on any of her social media. Two weeks after she left all of her friends packed up their cars and headed to UGA to start summer training.
