(14) Time To Try Dating Again

-3 months later-

Frankie was filling out a patient's chart when she heard "Frankie." 

"Oh hey Dr Cooper." she said 

"Um I know this might seem a little forward but I was wondering if you would like to have dinner with me sometime when we aren't working." Dr Lucas Cooper said 

"I um .. I would love too." she said with a smile.

Lucas smiled and said "Can I get your number?' 

"Yeah sure." she said they exchanged numbers and then they went about their work day. 

Lucas Cooper was a first year resident and they always had been a little flirty with each other since they both started. Sadie told Frankie that it was time to put herself back out there again since she hadn't been on a date since she and Deacon ended. That night during their on call shift they talked and set up their dinner date for the following weekend cause that was when they were both off again. 

When they weren't working they were texting and getting to know each other. She let him know up front that she was package deal that she had a 8 year old daughter.Lucas said he couldn't wait to meet her but said he didn't want to confuse her so he wanted to wait till they were serious when they went to their dinner the following weekend. 

Lucas and her were going on dates when they could and having sex in the on call rooms when they got a minute free. Sadie wasn't happy that they were moving fast but Frankie was going to do what Frankie wanted to do. Even the girls tried to tell her to slow down after 3 months of dating him they were talking about moving in together. 

Once she told her mom that Sadie put a stop to it and told her daughter that she wasn't moving her grand daughter anywhere with a dude she just started dating 3 months ago. That she still the same Frankie she was in high school moving to fast cause she was afraid if she didn't he would leave. Then said that if Deacon was here and involved in his daughter's life he would tell her the same thing.  

Even her dad yelled at her over the phone for moving to fast with Lucas. Natasha yelled at her and even said" and if you were still talking to Bucky he would tell you the same thing Francesca. You are an adult yes but you have a daughter to think about and what kind of an example are you setting for her." 

"Screw you too Nat." she said as she walked away and got in her car and drove home.
