********** Manik went to sleep with a sweet smile on his face, but he was a little worried also, that things may change between them, and they may not be that comfortable with each other anymore but he put these thoughts in the back of his head.
Next morning, he woke up with a little smile on his face. He freshened up and quickly called Nandini. She was in deep sleep when the loud ringtone of her phone disturbed her and she picked it up without looking at the caller. She answered in a sore sleepy voice, 'Hello?'
This instantly brought a smile on Manik phone and he said, 'Good morning, my darling Nandini.' Nandini instantly got up and looked at the screen of her phone for 2 reasons. A) Manik calling at 8 in the morning, b) Manik is not grumpy instead, he is sounding happy. She kept the phone back to her ears and said, 'Manik tumne subah subah bhi peena shuru kar diya? You are sounding so happy at 8 in the morning? Majra kya hai janaab? Vidhi itni pasand aa gayi kya?'
Manik's smile immediately turned into a frown and said, 'No. I did not like Vidhi at all. In fact I asked her to get out of the place. And before you start interrogating me let me make myself very clear that I am not going to tell you anything as of now. I'll tell you the entire thing soon, and also the reason for Manik Malhotra being all happy at 8 in the morning. Now shut up and get out of your bed. We need to go shopping for the trip. We are leaving tomorrow itself if you don't remember.'
Nandini was wondering the reason, but obviously could not decipher so she just groaned and said, ' Yaar Manik, I want to sleep more. Mujhe shopping pe nahi jaana. Besides which mall or shop opens before 11:30? So shut up and let me sleep.'
'Okay then, you go back to sleep and miss the breakfast we're all going to have. Chola bhatura, kachori etc etc. You can go back to sleep.' Manik said with a smirk. Nandini instantly ran out of the bed to her cupboard and said, 'Manik, can you for God's sake stop disturbing me. I have to have bath, and you're wasting my time, you loser.' and cut the call. Manik was laughing listening to her nonsense and started wondering where all the food she ate went, because clearly it didn't go inside her body.
Nandini got out of the bathroom, and blow dried her hair after applying a nude shade lipstick and eyeliner. She packed all the necessary items in her sling bag and moved down to the living room. She saw everyone was waiting for her and hugged all of them.
