Opal's Story

'I thought I'd lost you'

I slowly open my eyes to see Mike infront of me, I'm still on the floor

I lift my hand up to my head and I'm shocked when it comes back covered in blood

'What happened?' I ask

'Oh Tracy thank god' mike says, holding me close

It's then that I see the front door, still open

And I start to connect the dots

'Where's opal?' I say, standing up uneasily

'Stay right there, you hit your head really badly, you might have concussion' mike says

'Opals in danger' I say, panicking

'Tracy, I'm right here'

I turn to see her right beside me, she gives me a comforting smile

I wrap my arms around her, wanting to make sure she was really here

And she is.

'I thought I'd lost you' I whisper

'I'm not going anywhere' She says

'We heard opals cry for help and ran to the door, a friend of Katherines was there, who opal didn't know, safe to say he won't be bothering you or opal again' mike says

I nod, I'm just glad Opal's unharmed

'That's two hits you've taken for me now, I'm so sorry' She says sadly

'I'd take a million if it meant you were safe' I say

She blushes and I hold her close, stroking through her hair, the poor thing was shaking as much as me

Mike comes back with the first aid kit and helps me get patched up again

'You're okay too aren't you?' I ask Mike

He nods, smiling at me

'We're all okay' opal says

'And with each other's support, we always will be' I say giving her a gentle kiss on the forehead

My heart starts racing and opal takes my hand asking mike if we could have a minute alone

'When I thought you were in danger, I just panicked so much' I say

'I'm okay, you're okay, we're gonna be fine' opal says

'I know...but I couldn't help thinking the worse' I say

She envelopes me in a hug and I slowly fall asleep in her arms

Eventful day wasn't the words for it

OPALS POV

Thank god she's okay, once I saw her hit the floor I immediately started panicking

I let her fall asleep, she must be exhausted

She's done so much for me, I have to show my gratitude, somehow

Mike comes back in and gives me a smile

'You okay?' He asks me

I nod and he leaves us both alone, soon enough I'm asleep with her

AN HOUR LATER

Tracy opens her eyes and smiles when she sees she's not alone

'Ahh I'm glad you two are awake it's' mike says walking in

'LUNCH!!!' We hear Gina shout

'That' mike says laughing

They both giggle softly before going into the kitchen, mike takes Tracys arm gently

'You okay?' He asks

'I'm fine' she says, smiling to show she was

'Good, because I never wanna feel the same as I just did' he says

She stops him and take his hand

'I promise I'm okay' She says, giving him a hug

'You always are kiddo' he says smiling as they head down for lunch

The kids bombard Tracy and Opal with hugs asking what happened and if they're okay

'We're absolutely fine' they both say in unison

A couple minutes pass and the meals done so Opal stands up and leaves the table, headed for the garden, Tracy following close behind

'You alright?' Tracy says

Opal nods, trying to be convincing

'Talk to me' Tracy says softly

'Honestly I'm okay, it just all got a little crowded that's all' Opal says giving Tracy a smile

'I'm glad you're okay, come join me when your ready' Tracy says giving Opal a hug before leaving
