When I woke up the next day, I took a shower and got changed. And since there was nothing to do, this was a good opportunity to work on my song. I grabbed out my song writing book and a black marker and started writing.

Message From Alessia Cara:

Often times, the world directly and indirectly tells us that we shouldn't be happy with ourselves even if we don't fit in certain beauty standards. Scars To Your Beautiful is a reminder that beauty isn't only one look, shape, size or colour. It isn't even always tangible. It comes with an endless amount of forms and we need to recognize that. 

When I was done writing, I read through my music and I loved it. I closed my book and went downstairs to eat dinner and then texted with my friends for a couple of hours before bed. I couldn't wait to record "Scars To Your Beautiful." This career was gonna come quick but i just gotta stay focused and work more hard. I'm halfway done with high school so i gotta get my study mood on. I got so many things in my mind and Shawn is in my mind all the time. I just really need him more in my life. I hope things will work out between us later when we take the next step. Anyways, goodnight guys.
