Engagement Party

As you guys know, I got engaged last week. So we are having an engagement party at my backyard since my backyard was big enough. Lots of my friends were coming which was great and I was pretty excited. Shawn was downstairs sitting on the sofa while I was in Carter's room. I carried Carter from his crib and walked around in circles as I had him. I loved Carter so much. He's got his father's eyes. Everything about him was so cute. As I was walking in circles, I started sing to him. Carter was nice and quiet as he was in my arms. I sat on the chair and was rocking little by little and with that, I kissed him lightly on the forehead. Shawn came upstairs and saw me with Carter. He sat right beside me.

Shawn: (smiles) "How's our Carter doing?"

Alessia: (smiles) "He's good, I'm trying to put him to sleep."

Shawn: "He looks so cute when he's with you."

Alessia: "He reminds me of u so much."

Shawn: "I know, he's a clone of me."

Alessia: "I love him."

Shawn: "I do too."

As I was talking to Shawn quietly, Carter fell asleep.

Shawn: "Look how cute he is."

Alessia: "I know.."

I got up from the chair and placed Carter gently on his crib.

Alessia: (smiles) "There u go, my little prince. Keep dreaming."

Shawn kissed me on the cheek and I kissed him back on the lips.

Alessia: "We should probably get the backyard set up for the party."

Shawn: "Oh yeah let's go."

We went out to the backyard and we got everything set up. Everything was looking amazing. We had lots of people coming and me and Shawn were really excited. We headed back inside to get changed. When Carter wakes up, I'll dress him up quickly. I got changed and met up with Shawn downstairs.

Shawn: "Wow you look so beautiful."

Alessia: (smiles) "Thank u."

We headed outside and sat down on the chairs and waited for people to come. The first person that came was my friends of course.

Olivia: "Hey Ale!"

Corina: "Hey."

Alessia: "Hey guys."

We gave each other a hug.

Olivia: "Where's Carter?!"

Alessia: "Oh he's sleeping right now, I'll bring him out when he wakes up."

Olivia: "I can't wait to see him."

Me and my friends walked to the backyard.

Shawn: "Hey Olivia."

Olivia: "Hey Shawn, how are u?"

Shawn: "I'm good and u?"

Olivia: "I'm great."

Shawn: "Nice."

Me and my friends along with Shawn spoke for a couple of hours and then my parents arrived.

Mom: "Hey Alessia."

Alessia: (smiles) "Mom."

My mom and I gave each other a hug. After I hugged my mom, I walked up to my dad. Me and my dad gave each other a hug.

Dad: "You look beautiful, my dear."

Alessia: "Thanks dad."

Mom: "Now where is my grandchild?"

Alessia: "He's sleeping."

Mom: "Oh okay."

Alessia: "You all will get to meet him soon."

Dad: "Can't wait to see that little prince."

Alessia: (smiles)

I headed back with my parents to catch up with the orders.

Olivia: "Hey."

Mom: "Hey Olivia, how are u?"

Olivia: "I'm good."

My parents sat down with my friends. I invited Adrian and Eric too so we just had to wait for them to get here.

~An hour later~

People got their drinks and they got snacks. I was sitting beside Shawn as I had a drink in my hand. Me and him were just having a little fun talk. After talking for a few minutes, I went upstairs to go meet Carter. I took him out of his crib and got him changed. And he was looking cute. When I finished dressing him up, I carried him and brought him outside.

Alessia: (smiles) "Everyone meet our son, Carter."

Olivia: "Oh my gosh!"

Alessia: "Ok Liv, calm down."

Corina: "Yeah Liv, ur scaring Carter."

Olivia: "I'm sorry, it's just that he's so cute!!"

Corina: "I know but still.."

Olivia: "Ale, can I hold him??"

I nodded and gave Carter to Liv.

Olivia: "Omg he looks so much like Shawn."

Alessia: "Too much."

Corina: (smiles as she looks at Carter) "You're so cute!!"

After Corina did that, Carter smiled.

Olivia: "Ok let your parents hold him now."

I took Carter from Liv and gave him to my parents.

Mom: "Oh my gosh, this is our grandson."

Dad: "He's so cute."

Alessia: (smiles) "Thanks guys."

My parents played with him for a few minutes and then I carried him. Before me and my friends could have dessert, I fed Carter his meal cause he needed to eat. And then when I was done, we had dessert. Some people gave us gifts and a few of them congratulated us for our engagement. The party was amazing. After the party, we cleaned everything up and Carter fell asleep again so he was in his crib sleeping. Me and Shawn headed to our rooms and we went to bed cause we were so tired. But it was a great night.
