Chapter 6

Sara's P.O.V

Waiting for the girls to choose what academy they wanted to go to was not the quickest thing in the world. I had been sitting on the side of the mountain for ten minutes now and by the sound of it none them have actually chosen yet. Staring at the view of the forest below I started to feel a strange pulling sensation towards it and because I was bored and curious I began to follow it down the mountain and into the forest.

As I entered the forest the sensation became stronger and I couldn't turn back now even if I tried. Looking around all I could see was tall trees so I continued on until I reached a small clearing. I had no words to describe how beautiful this clearing was, it was like it was straight out of a fairytale. Still mesmerized I noticed a rock which was standing upright in the middle of the clearing but that was not what had me transfixed on. It had a nest made out twigs and small flowers on top with an egg resting in it.

Still staring at the egg I noticed it was moving and then I heard the first crack and realised it was hatching. Watching as it slowly hatched a small purple and blue dragon head emerged from the egg and then the whole body was seen as the rest of the egg fell away. I let out a gasp which drew the baby dragons attention to me so I was staring back into blue and purple eyes.

Realising that there was no one else around and this baby dragon was the pulling sensation I am feeling I knew then and there that this was my dragon. A baby roar brought me out of my thoughts and he was still staring at me wanting me to get closer. Closing the gap between us I brought my hand out to touch him and before I could touch him I felt a burning sensation on my palm and I quickly pulled my hand away and looked at it.

Gasping as I looked at my palm there was a dragon rider mark of him curled in a ball and when I first looked at it was rainbow but then it changed to blue and purple and stayed that way. Okay, that was weird.

" Do you not like it?" a deep voice said in my head

" Of course I do but it was rainbow for a few seconds, I'm not imagining things am I?" I said back to him realising I must of have had a weird look on my face

" No your not imaging things" he said

" Okay, why was it rainbow then?" I asked

" How do I put this lightly? I'm a rainbow dragon" he said

" Okay, then why are you blue and purple?" I questioned not believing him

" Because I can change the colour of my scales to whatever colour I want and you will know what colour I am because your mark will change as well" he said changing to a forest green colour

" Wow" I said in complete shock looking down at my mark seeing that it had changed colour as well

" Can you show me your rainbow form?" I questioned

" Sure" he said changing the colour of his scales to all the different colours of the rainbow

" Wow, why don't you stay this colour?" I asked in complete awe

" Because no one is supposed to know that I exist" he replied changing back to blue and purple

" Okay, fair enough" I said before I realised " I don't even know your name" I said face palming myself

" My name is Revlon" he said chuckling " And I know yours is Sara"

" Okay now we just have to find our way back up the mountain" I said smiling

" Why go back up?" Revlon said confused

" I came here with friends and I left them up at the top, they are probably wondering where I went" I said realising I don't know how long I have been gone
