Chapter 10

Sara's P.O.V

Entering the building we walked over to what looked like a front desk which had an older lady with grey hair pulled back into a tight bun on the very top of her head.

" Hello, how can I help you?" Said in a very uninterested tone

" Hello we have a meeting with the headmaster" Dad answered back

" Let's see, name?" she asked typing on her computer

" Sara Whitetail" he replied

" Okay I won't be a second" She said as she walked off and came back a couple of minutes later

" Right this way" she said guiding us through the door off to the left

" Thankyou" Dad said passing by her

Entering the office the first thing I notice is an older man sitting at an impressive size desk.

" Welcome old friend I haven't seen you in years" he said walking over and shaking dad's hand

" Garnet long time no see how are you and Demerit going?" Dad answered

" Good as ever how about you and Benedict?" he asked

" Busy as ever " He said with a chuckle

" This is my daughter Sara" Dad said introducing me

" It's nice to meet you sir" I said shaking his hand

" You to Sara, please call be Garnet your father is an old friend of mine no need for formularies" He said chuckling

" Okay" I said smiling

" How long have you had your dragon?" He asked

" Just over a month" I replied

" So he or she has some growing left to do then" He said positively

" Yes he does" I said

" Okay that's not a problem, I should let you go and settle in while your father and I catch up" He said walking over his desk and calling someone

A couple of minutes later a knock was heard on the door and a girl with light brown hair and sparkling green eyes entered the room and glanced around the room and her whole face lit up when her eyes landed on me.

" Headmaster" She said addressing Garnet

" Tegan I would like for you to show Sara around " He said and gestured to me to follow her

" Bye daddy " I said going over to him and hugging him

" Bye Sweetheart, I believe that you're going to do great things here " He whispered in my ear while hugging me for a bit longer than needed

" Thank you" I whispered back before following Tegan out the door

" Hi I'm Tegan, finally another girl around here " She said introducing herself when we started walking down the hall

" Hi I'm Sara and what do you mean another girl?" I said puzzled

" I mean its finally nice to have another girl attending the academy " She said fixing her sentence

" Wait you were the only girl in the academy before I arrived " I said finally understanding what she was saying while still following her through corridors

" Yep now I won't be surrounded by boys all the time " She said smiling

" We're here, room 81" She said stopping in front of a plain white door

" This is your room go ahead and open it" She said gesturing to the door

" How I don't have a key?" I said completely puzzled

" Your riders mark is your key just put your hand on the door handle" I did as she said and the door opened up

" How?" I said confused

" Everyone's mark is different like a fingerprint and there is a scanner built into the handle so no one else can enter" she said entering the room

" That's cool" I said walking in and dropping my bag in the middle of the room

The room was pretty basic with a double bed, dresser and wardrobe. The walls were painted a beige colour with grey carpet and I had my own bathroom.

" Are you ready for your tour?" she asked

"Yeah, where do we start?" I said following her out the door

Tegan showed me the whole academy which took around two hours and those two hours went quite fast because she was talking the whole entire time I could tell that this normal for Tegan.  She showed me around the classrooms, the dorms, the cafeteria and well everything. She also introduced me to some teachers and students we passed by in the halls. She finally ended the tour at the stables where there were dragons everywhere you looked.

" Which dragon is yours?" I asked following her into the stable

" She's over here her name is Wildflower" she said walking over to a white dragon who was resting

" Wow she's beautiful" I said when we approached and she lifted her head to look at us

" She says thank you" Tegan said passing the message on

" Your welcome " I said to the dragon

" Where is your dragon?" Tegan asked

" I don't kn-" I got cut off by Revlon landing behind us

" Right here" I hear 

" Tegan this Revlon" I introduce

" Wow that's your dragon" she said " He pretty impressive"

" I know I am" I hear in my head

" He said thank you" I said giving him a look

" What she said it not me" He said and I just shook me head at him

" How long have you had him?" Tegan asks

" Just over an month" I answer

" So he isn't fully grown yet?" she said

" Yeah he still growing" I said as she looked over my shoulder 

" It's getting late I should take you back to your room" She said saying goodbye to her dragon

" Okay" I said to her before turning to Rev " Go and find a stall I'll come and find you tomorrow" I told him before following Tegan

" Okay goodnight Sara" I hear in my head before I caught up to Tegan

" Goodnight Rev " I send back 

I followed Tegan back to my room trying to remember the way to the stables from my room. When we arrived she told me that she'll come and take me to breakfast in the morning before saying goodnight and leaving for her own room. Walking in I look over the room again before my eyes settle on my bag which I haven't unpacked yet and walking over to grab some PJ's and making my into my bathroom to have a shower before I go to bed. Clean and refreshed I walk over to the bed and grab my phone to ring my brother to tell him all about my day. Ending the conversation I crawl under the covers and fall into a deep sleep as the day taken everything out of me.
