chapter 3

Carli's pov:
I wake up in bed by myself. The last thing I remember is me and maverick cuddling and watching the walking dead.

I smile at the thought and get out of bed and heading to my bathroom.

I take a quick shower and then put on some black shorts and a rainbow crop that goes just above my belly button.

I slide on my lowtop white converse and grab my stuff before walking out the door and heading to maverick and cash's house.

As I'm walking, I see dani walking on the other side of the street.

"Dani" I yell to her.

She looks over and smiles.

"Hey!" She says and jogs over to me.

"Going to maverick and cash's place?" I ask her.

She nods and we walk together.

We walk up there driveway and walk on into his house.

We go upstairs. She goes into cash's room and I go into mav's.

As I'm walking in I see him asleep. I close the door softly and walk over to him. I set beside him.

"Maverick" I say to him.

He doesnt move.

"Maverick!" I say a little louder.

He opens his eyes and then smiles.

"Hey" he says in his morning voice that makes shivers go down my back.

"What are you doing here?" He ask.

"Just wanted to see you" I say.

He nods and sets up. The covers fall and I see him shirtless and in his sweatpants. I swear my jaw dropped. I haven't seen him shirtless till today and let's just say I like what I see.

"Checking me out" maverick says smirking.

"What! No!!" I say smiling.

"Its fine, I check you out all the time" he says and gets up.

My eyes go wide and my cheeks get hot. What!? He does!?

"Oh.." I say.

"Just like right now. Your body looks... amazing right now." He says smirking.

I blush. "Shut up!!" I say smiling.

He laughs and gets dressed. He takes his sweatpants off and pulls his pants on and a shirt over his head.

"So what do you want to do today?" He ask smiling while flopping down on the bed.

"Let's have a lazy day" I say smiling back at him.

"Couldnt you have just said that before I got dressed. I would have just stayed in what I was wearing" he says laughing.

"Well get back into what you were wearing" I suggest, wanting to see him shirtless again.

He nods and does just that. Once hes done he turns Netflix on and we watch the vampire diaries. But to be completely honestly I wasnt paying attention to the show or anything else besides the shirtless maverick beside me.

He scoots closer and I do the same. At some point we were staring into eachother eyes.

He leans in but I back away and stand up.

He pauses the show and looks at me confused.

"What's wrong?" He ask.

"Umm.. i-i dont know" I say.

He stands up and walks closer to me but i back away.

"Carli, what's wrong" he ask.

"Were you gonna kiss me?" I ask quickly.

"Umm y-yeah if I'm being honest" he says

"Why? Out of pitty?" I ask.

"No becuase i l-like you." He says.

"No you dont. How could you like me? I'm not like britney. I dont have big boobs or big ass" I say truthfully.

Maverick's pov:
What? She thinks she has to have big boobs and a big ass for me to like her?

"Carli.. I like you for you." I tell her.

She shakes her head. "No you dont" she says quickly.

I walk over to her and she backs away.

"I like you"

"No you dont"

"I like you carli"

"No you dont maverick"

I walk closer to her making her back away but against the wall.

I walk over to her and put my hands on the wall on either side of her head. I lean in close to wear I could fill her breath on my lips.

"I. Like. You" I say.

"No. You. Dont" she says back.

I lean closer causing our lips to barely touch.

"I. Like. You" I say causing our lips to brush against eachother.

"No you dont maverick" she whispers.

"Ok that's it" I whisper and then lean in.

I kiss her lips and to my surprise she kisses back. Her lips taste so sweet.

I put my hands on her waist and she wraps her arms around my neck. I pull her closer then she already is. Theres no space between us. I start walking backwards towards the bed and fall down on it, pulling her down with me.

I set up against the wall. I push her down causing her to grind against me cause me to get aroused.

"Maverick.. stop" she says out of breath.

I nod and stop put my hands around her waist loosely.

"You like me?" She ask.

I laugh. "Yes! I like you" I say.

"I-i like you too" she says which makes my heart flutter and puts this biggest smile on my face. I lean In and peck her lips.

"Can I take you on a date?" I ask her.

"Yes you can" she says smiling with a little blush on her face.

The rest of the day was us cuddling and watching Netflix and me coming up with ideas for our date.
