Maya's POV

Farkle, Riley, and I were swimming in the pool when Lucas came back. He jumped in the pool with us and didn't say anything at first.

"Welcome back," Riley said.

"Welcome home," Lucas smiled.

He was smiling for the first time since we had gotten here. Maybe we could get him to come back with us later on.

"How long have you been here?" I asked.

Lucas looked surprised that I was talking to him. I was surprised that I even talked to him.

"I left after my last test," Lucas ran his fingers threw his hair.

"How many parties have you thrown?" Farkle asked.

"I've lost count," Lucas said.

"Can you remember any of them?" Riley asked.

"Yes," Lucas smirks, "Only some parts though."

"We are so throwing a party before we go," Farkle said.

"Totally," I agreed.

Lucas gave me his look. I felt like I was going to throw up. I couldn't look at him without freaking out.

I bolted for the ladder and climbed out. If I wasn't wet I would have went inside but I ran out towards the ocean. I dove into the water and when I came up I wanted Lucas to be chasing after me.

Farkle probably would chase after me but instead it was Lucas.

"What's wrong with you?" he asked once I climbed out of the water.

"Nothing," I didn't look directly at him.

"Are you sure?" he asked.

"Yup," I still didn't look him in the eyes.

"Why can't you look me in the eyes?" Lucas stopped walking.

Because I'm still in love with you idiot.

I look up at him, "Happy?"

"Whatever," Lucas walked off.
