Kai sat on his bed. He sighed. The world was coming to get his little girl, and he had to be prepared. It would have been better with her mother Winter around, but she had died on the day their daughter was born. His daughter wasn't just a Parker, she was a Samedi. A blood relative of Baron Samedi. She was his granddaughter, and he loved her very much.
She's also the niece of the Loa of Death, Chaos and Infertility. During the night he would magically watch over her and just smile at her. He had made a promise to Kandice's mother his beloved sister Winter.
Her mother loved her dearly, but had died to protect her. Though her uncle is the Loa of Death, Chaos and Infertility he knew that he couldn't touch her. Kandice was his princess and anyone who would hurt her, would surely pay.
She had an older brother, who she didn't know about, but he would occasionally watch over him. His name is Prince, and he was Winter's son.
He didn't know when the right time was to tell her about him. He would had to explain why Prince wasn't his son, but that he truly cared for him just like he cared for her. Even if Kandice had a half sibling from someone else who wasn't Winter, he would have cared less.
