Shai's POV
Jimin and I had been dating for a while without getting caught or in trouble. The guys knew he was dating someone, but none of them knew it was me. Jimin didn't feel comfortable revealing that to them as yet.
I sometimes wondered if they'd figured it out, but Jimin seemed so relaxed about it that I relaxed. I still couldn't believe that I was dating a famous k-pop celebrity and that I was a member of staff at Hitmakers. I was still thinking about it even though things were going so fast.
I hadn't seen Jimin for a while since we had been swamped with work lately. He texted me one or two times, but sometimes I knew he was so tired that he fell asleep as soon as he got to his apartment.
It was Sunday. I knew that day was a day off for both members of staff and BTS. I decided to spend the day in my room. I cleaned from top to bottom then sorted out some things that I was too busy to fix.
I got myself a bowl of ice cream and sat in my room watching one of my favourite series on Netflix. My day was going well. I was about to shower when Jimin called.
I was concerned because I thought he was asleep. I rushed to the phone with excitement like a child who had just received a present she'd been anticipating for a long time.
"Hello!" I said, looking out my window.
I listened to the silence on the other end of the line. I was about to
"Is this Shai's? I want to place an order." This made me smile. He'd always done things like this to make me laugh, and it always worked.
"Actually, yes, this is Shai's. What would you like?" I asked, putting a spoon of ice cream in my mouth.
"Can I have-" He stopped for a few seconds but then spoke again.
"I'm sorry, I have to go. I'll make it up to you, I promise. Please understand." He said with a strain of regret in his voice.
"It's okay. I understand. Don't worry about it." I told him.
After saying, "I love you!" He hung up, leaving my whole mood spoiled. At that moment, I thought it would've been better if he hadn't called. I would've missed him, but I would've had Netflix for company.
I finally finished some paperwork before going to bed early. I felt exhausted and couldn't bother to stress over anything.
Later that night, I was awoken by my phone ringing. I frustratedly tossed it on the rug and closed my eyes. I was about to fall asleep again when my phone started ringing again.
I opened my eyes and stretched from the bed to the phone on the rug. I took it up and looked at the screen. It was Jimin again.
"Hello," I said in a sleepy voice.
"Hey, sorry about today again. I wanted to take you somewhere, but you never answered my texts or calls, and it's frigid outside now." He said.
I was still half asleep, so I only said, "okay."
"Do you still want to come? You'll have to dress for the weather, though." He continued.
"Yeah, sure," I said, fully woken by then.
"Text me when you're ready, and don't let me die waiting." He said, chuckling a little.
"Whatever." I smiled.
After I hung up, I went to get ready. I didn't know where Jimin was taking me, and it took a long while before I finally decided to wear casual clothes.
I did my hair in a bun with cornrows in the front and put a small bow at the front.
I grabbed my stuff, locked my door and headed out. I sent Jimin a text that I was ready and asked where to meet him.
He later texted him back, and soon I was there with him. I met him in the parking lot. I made a joke asking if he wanted to take me to complete his family because his last name is Park, and we met in the parking lot.
He laughed so hard that I wondered when I had become so good at jokes.
He had on a cotton snow cap and jacket, ripped black jeans and gloves. I told him he looked like those stalkers from the movies, and he again caught my joke and gave me the pleasure to hear that cute laugh of his.
I'm seriously terrible at making jokes, but he seemed to find them funny. This made me feel a whole feeling of completion.
He took me to a bridge. It was beautiful; pepper lights were decorated all over it, twinkling in many colours.
Underneath the water reflected the bridge. The night was filled with stars that lit up the sky.
Jimin placed his hands around my waist and pulled me closer to him. We walked to one side of the bridge and looked over at the city.
There weren't many people around. The only place people were was over on the other side. They seemed to be in a hurry and didn't seem to notice as much.
"Do you like it?" He asked, smiling at me.
I looked up at him. I could feel my eyes sparkle as I did.
"I love it. It's beautiful." I told him.
"I come here a lot. Looking at the scenery calms me. When I'm there, it's as if all my worries fade into the distance." He said, looking at me with truth In his eyes.
I was seeing another side of him—aside, I'd never seen it on social media. I saw the off-camera jimin. He then turned to face me and took my hands in his.
"I might not always call, text or visit you as much as I want to, but that doesn't change the fact that I love you. I'm always busy, I know, but I'll always find time for you. I don't want to keep you a secret forever. I want the whole world to know about you, but as you learn about my career. I want to make a future for us before anything.
I was blushing like crazy. I still hadn't gotten over the "I love you" part yet, and I wasn't planning to anytime soon.
"You're one of the best things that have ever happened to me, and I don't want to make the stupid mistake of losing you. I know I'm lucky to have you, and I want to treat you with a lot of appreciation."
This was just like in the movies. The setting, him, his words, my heartbeat. Everything was just perfect.
"I love you too, Jimin, and I'm lucky to have you too. Thank you so much for being everything I've ever wanted." I told him, still blushing.
He took me into his arms and kissed me. My heart was now pounding inside my chest.
My fingers lingered through his soft silky hair, and he reacted better than I'd expected.
We spent the rest of the night talking, sharing sweets, snacks, beverages and enjoying each other's company. I was sad that I didn't get to see and speak to him as often as I wanted to, but the time we spent together held moments I cherished.
