"Shit! I'm so late!" I said, rushing into the front seat of the van. The driver looked at me, concerned."Good morning! Slept in late?" He asked, smiling.
"Yoo-" I caught my words as quickly as they escaped my mouth.
"Ummm, yeah. I've been tired these days." I told him before closing the door.
I'd almost told him that Yoongi and I spent the night talking for hours, so we didn't get enough sleep. I sighed heavily, happy I had caught my words before they left my mouth.
"Yeah. This job is something." He said, shaking his head.
He turned the key then started the van. I checked if I had everything just before he drove off. We arrived on set in thirty minutes. The guys were already there getting their makeup done and changing into their suits.
I hurried out of the van, almost leaving my bags behind.
"Be careful, you might be late, but you're already here."
"Yeah, thanks," I said, rushing toward the building. Everyone stared at me as I entered the building.
"Morning guys, sorry I'm late."
"Late?" Tae asked.
"Yeah."
"You're not late. You're on time." He said, giving me a weird look.
I did not understand that he was trying to cover for me until I walked further into the building. I looked at the things scheduled that day and got to work immediately. The first task was to check in with the staff on the top floor to ensure everything was set before the morning interview, where BTS would appear as guests.
I hurried past Yoongi, whose hand brushed against my thigh. I saw him smirking from the corner of my eye when I shivered.
I got to the elevator then stepped in as the doors slid open. I pressed the button for the second floor and stepped back. Just before the doors closed, Jimin appeared. He placed his hand between the doors, making them slide apart, then stepped inside the elevator.
"Hey!" He said, smiling at me.
"Which floor are you going on!?" He asked.
"The second floor."
"Me too." He said before pressing the same button I'd pressed earlier.
He stepped away from the button and held onto his arm. We stood awkwardly beside each other. The elevator reached the floor we were going to then stopped. I waited for the doors to slide open, but they didn't. Jimin noticed something was wrong, so he started pressing random buttons, but nothing changed.
I began panicking. I stared at him, hoping he was playing with me, but he wasn't. We were trapped in there. He finally pressed the emergency button, and the operator came on. We told her we were trapped and needed to leave the elevator. She told us there was a power outage, and the generator was damaged, so there wasn't enough energy to power the elevator.
I wondered how it wasn't enough to power the elevator, but she could still communicate with us. I sat on the floor, knowing we'd be stuck in there until the light came back. Jimin sat beside me, looking just as concerned as me.
Being stuck in an elevator was one of my worst fears. I always entered elevators with the fear that I'd end up being stuck in there. I began shivering unknowingly. I only realised this when Jimin placed his hand on my shoulder and asked if I was okay.
"Being stuck in an elevator is one of my worst fears," I said, feeling trying to control my shaking.
Jimin stared at me silently before running his hand through his hair.
