"Shai! Shai!" Someone called out.

Shaken from sleep I open my eyes. I was shocked to see. Daeun standing over me.

"Shai Didn't you sleep last night?."

My eyes widened in shock when I realized where I was. I was at my desk fast asleep in the middle of the work day.

Wiping the sleep drool away from
the corner of my mouth I scrambled for words.

Daeun and I weren't close friends. In fact before today the only words we exchanged were polite greetings. Our desk weren't close to each other so I hardly saw her.

"Oh my gosh! How long was asleep for?" I questioned embarrassed.

"Let's just say a while." She said folding her lips.

Shocked at this response I stared at her as if she was the one caught sleeping.

"I can't believe I fell asleep I...."

I stopped talking and held back what I was going to say. I was going to tell her how I went to bed really late because I spent the whole night watching live stage performances by BTS while waiting for Yoongi to text me. He didn't so I just agave up and went to bed. I knew I couldn't tell her this so I took out the detail.

"I went to bed really late. I was binge watching something." I told her instead.

She smiled as if she could relate.

"Yeah. You've just described my nightly routine." She chuckled.

"But for real though Shai you can't let this happen. You'll get into trouble. I also saw Soo-young watching you as if she's up to something." She continued.

"Yeah, I know. It won't happen again. Thanks for looking out for me Daeun." I smiled at her.

She seemed pleased.

"You're most welcome Shai. Anytime."

I paused for a moment. I remembered that I would be alone that night. Yoongi moved so I had no one to walk me home. I didn't have plans so I decided to invite her to hangout with me.
"Hey. Would you like to hang out with me later? That's if you don't have plans." I told her.

Her eyes sparkled as if she'd been waiting for me to ask this question.

"Yeah. I don't have any plans later either. I'll totally be there." She smiled.

"Great! I'm in room 134. You can come when our shift is over." I told her.

She nodded but then stopped.

"Room 134? Don't you have to pass Suga's studio to get to your room?!" She questioned with excitement in her voice.

"Yeah. I do." I replied trying to sound as relaxed as possible?

I wasn't relaxed. I was worried about where this conversation would go. She would ask me questions like, "Did you ever see him when passing?" "Have you guys ever spoken?" I knew this because those were questions I would've asked if I was her. I would have to lie to her and that wasn't something I wanted to do.

"Yeah I do. Here's my number. Text me when you've arrived." I said changing the subject.

She took her phone from her pocket and added my number.

"Okay great. See you later." She smiled.

I watched her walk off before returning to my desk. I held my head down for the day at work. I was embarrassed that my coworkers actually saw me sleeping.
