My Little Blessing

Chapter 2: Welcome to the Gang

"Shh don't cry" I plead changing him into another outfit. "It's okay baby boy" I assure him quickly closing his onesie before picking him up in my arm. "It's okay" I whisper rocking him back and forth until he calms down. "That wasn't so bad now was it?" I ask looking down at his little red face.

I smile watching him open his eyes and look up at me. "Hi" I coo before leaning down and kissing him, I swear I've kissed him like a billion times, his skin is just so soft and he's just so adorable it's hard not to love him.

"I got some breakfast" Josh says walking in our bedroom with a tray of food. "I was going to go downstairs" I point out but he shrugs "It's better to have some breakfast in bed" I smile and carefully lay Noah next to me. Josh hands me the tray before going over to his side of the bed and picking Noah up.

"Look at you, you're all ready for the day" he coos making me smile as I lift my glass of orange juice and take a sip. "Can you put his little hat on?" I ask hopefully reaching over to my nightstand and grabbing a matching hat that goes with his outfit.

"Of course" Josh smiles taking it from me and gently putting it on his son's head. "Aw it's got his name on it too" he notices as I nod, "Mhm" I hum enjoying my breakfast.

"So what's the plan for the day?" He asks curiously looking at me. "Finish my breakfast then feed this little guy" I say pointing to the cute baby in Josh's hand. "He then goes down for a little nap which I'm going to take advantage of by taking a shower and I think Riles and the others are going to pass by to meet him and that's all I've got" I explain as he nods in understanding.

"We have busy day today then" he mutters before leaning down and kissing Noah causing me to smile. I finish my breakfast right on time as Noah starts sucking on his fingers and moving around, all indications of him being hungry.

"Come here baby boy" I mutter taking him from Josh's arms and Josh takes the tray from me and brings it downstairs, "Tell your mom thank you" I say before he gets out of the door. I lift my shirt and feed Noah gazing down at him lovingly and playing with his small fingers.

When Josh comes back upstairs Noah is done and I'm burping him. "Riley texted me and told me they're coming in like half an hour or more" he admits as I nod. "Can you take him, I'll go quickly take a shower" he nods and I pass Noah to him.

The doorbell ringing catches both mine and Josh's attention from our peaceful moment. "I'll get it" he says kissing my cheek before standing up and going out of our bedroom. I glance at Noah finding him asleep in his little bed beside me and sigh. I grab one of his blankets and carefully wrap him in it, making sure he doesn't wake up before I stand up with him in my arms and wander downstairs.

I walk down the stairs and find all of my friends talking to Josh with blue balloons and teddy bears in their hands. "Maya" Riley squeals as she sees me come down, all the others turn and smile brightly. "Sh" I say placing my finger over my lips to tell her to stay quiet, "He's sleeping" I say reaching the bottom of the stairs.

"Hey guys" I say as they just keep looking at me with a wide smile. "I want you to meet Noah" I say walking towards them as they all gather around me. They all gasp gazing down at the sweet boy sleeping in my arms, "Oh my gosh" Farkle mutters as I look at him.

"He's so small" Lucas points out as I nod in agreement, "He looks like a burrito" Zay says making me stifle a laugh and look back down at my son, wrapped in his blanket like a burrito.

"Congratulations Maya" Smackle smiles making everyone join in, "Congrats".

"Thank you" I quip.

"He's perfect" Farkle admits "I couldn't agree more" Riley adds happily "Do you want to hold him?" I ask looking at Farkle. "Can I?" I nod making him open his arms, I gently pass Noah to him and watch as Farkle looks down at him mesmerized. "Welcome to the gang little buddy" Zay says looking over Farkle's shoulder.

Looking at all my friends gush over my baby boy, fills my heart with so much happiness that it gets overwhelming to the point where tears start streaming down my face. "Oh Maya" Riley coos walking over to me and wrapping her arms around me in a hug.

"You guys are just so sweet" I admit wipping my tears away, "And I'm so thankful to have you guys in my life" I add as Riley pulls away.

"We're grateful for you too Maya" Riley assures me "Yeah, you mean so much to us" Farkle adds "And we'll always be here for you" Lucas chips in. More tears start to fall and Riley chuckles and pulls me in for another hug. "The hormones?" She guesses as I nod.

"She's crying now and we haven't even given her the presents yet" Smackle says making me pull away from Riley with furrowed brows, "Presents?".

We've all moved to the living room and we're all seated on the couch. Riley is seated next to me and she has Noah on her lap, she's absolutely in love with him and Josh is sitting on my other side absentmindely playing with my hair. "So you want me to open this one first?" I ask unsure reaching forwards to grab a present on the coffee table.

"Yes" Farkle answers as I take a deep breath and start opening it. "Oh my gosh!" I exclaims holding out a onesie "I love it" I laugh gazing at the picture of all of my friends and me printed on the onesie with Welcome to the gang little Noah written. "Sorry Josh isn't in it, we couldn't find one with all of us in one so" Lucas trails off handing me another present. I open it and find another onesie except this time there's a picture of Josh and I and We will love you forever written underneath the picture.

Tears fill my eyes as I run my finger over the picture. "Maya" Josh sighs pulling me against his chest before kissing the top of my head. "I love the both of them" I muster out "Thank you" I say wipping my tears before glancing up at my friends. "You guys are really amazing" I admit making them smile, "So are you" Farkle quips making me chuckle and wipe the rest of my tears.

"Oh my goodness hi" Riley gushes catching everyone's attention. I look down and find Noah awake and looking up at my best friend. "Good morning" she says in a baby voice making me smile, "It's the afternoon" Smackle reminds her causing Riley to glare at her.

"You are so damn cute" she gushes running her finger gently along Pumpkin's cheek. He starts to cry taking the brunette aback, "It was a compliment don't cry" I stifle a laugh and shake my head in amusement "He's probably just hungry" I admit as Riley passes him back to me. "Mommy's got you".

I cover myself up with the blanket I had wrapped around me since I was cold and feed Noah. "So how's was it?" Farkle asks as he tries to avoid the awkward silence that was building up. "How was what?" I ask confused.

"The whole birth thing" Riley explains as my eyes widen "You really want me to tell you about me giving birth?" I ask surprise but they all nod.
