I'm in the middle of making myself some breakfast when a soft knock is heard at the front door. I furrow my brows and glance at Noah's who's busy gazing at the little toys that are hanging on top of his swing. I sigh and turn off the stove so I don't burn my eggs or end up setting fire to the house before padding over to the front door. I open the door and a wide grin pulls at my lips when I find my best friend standing on the other side with Red Planet Diaries DVD is her hands.

"Today is Maya, Riley and Noah day!" she exclaims letting herself in the house and walking towards the living room to put down the DVDs on the coffee table . "Summer is almost over and we still haven't watched one episode of RPD together" she says turning to face me as I chuckle and close the door.

"Right" I nod making my way back to the stove so I can finish my breakfast. "Well I can't wait to watch one with you" I say happily as I finish making my eggs. It became sort of a tradition for Riley and I to binge watch RDP every summer since we are extremely obsessed with the TV show.

"Where's everyone else?" She asks gazing around the house before walking towards me. "Um, Josh is at work, Alan is in Philly for a few days and Amy is at this yoga class she started taking. So it's just Noah and I today" I explain placing my finished eggs on a plate.

"And me" she squeals facing my son and kneeling down towards him. "Can I pick him up?" She asks as I nod, "Mhm" I nod, retrieving a glass before getting the cartoon of milk and pouring some for myself.

"You want anything Riles?" I question whilst she sits on the bar stool with Noah in her arms. "I'm good" she assures me before looking down at Noah with a bright smile. "You're getting chubbier" she points out before letting out a soft laugh as she pokes my son's cheeks. "Are you calling my son fat?" I ask glaring at the brunette, she shakes her head vigoursly "I never said that" she chuckles "He's just getting chubby and it's adorable".

"Yeah, well he is eating a lot" I admit staying on the other side of the counter to eat my breakfast.

"Can you blame him? Milk is delicious" I laugh and shake my head "How do you know you haven't tried my milk?" Her eyes widen and I burst out laughing. "I'm talking about milk in general" she argues as I just keep laughing.

"I'm just teasing you Riley, calm down".

"Anyways" she says slowly as I calm myself down and take a sip of my drink. "How are things?" She asks curiously playing with Noah's fingers, I shrug and bite a piece of my toast "They're pretty calm" I admit as she nods in understanding.

"How's Josh doing with the job?" She questions "He likes it, I was scared it wasn't something he'd exactly enjoy but he said he really likes it and can learn a lot there to help him in the future" I answer "And anyways he admitted that he'd actually rather work there to gain experience than sit in a classroom to learn about it. Not to mention it pays good" I add.

"How are the both of you emotionally and physically?" I smile gazing at the brunette. Sometimes I really wondered why Riles didn't want to persue a career as a psychologist.

"I'm starting to get emotionally stable, I think. I stopped crying as much as before. Physically, I'm slowly getting back to normal, I still have quite a bit of weight to lose but other than that I think I'm pretty fine" I explain "Josh, physically, he's never been as good looking as before" Riley rolls her eyes and I chuckle.

"Emotionally, I've never seen him more obsessed over me and Noah" I admit with a smile. "I love watching him and Noah together, I don't think it's something I'll ever get tired of seeing" I admit happily.

"That's perfect" Riley smiles brightly.

"Ugh" I groan when there's another knock on the door. "Who is it?" Riley asks confused as she tears her gaze away from the TV where we are watching out series. "I don't know?" I shrug standing up and rushing to the front door. I pull open the door and find Shawn with Everleigh, "Hey dad" I smile brightly looking at Shawn with Everleigh in his arms.

"Hi, kiddo" he smiles "You busy?" He asks making me look back to Riley, "Not really" I shake my head "Would you mind watching this little trouble maker whilst your mom and I go plan H-E-R B-I-R-T-H-D-A-Y" he spells it out making me smirk. Everleigh's turning 7 in 2 weeks and as always my parents always make sure she has an epic party to make up for the ones she never had.

"Of course" I nod as he puts down Everleigh. "Maya" she squeals hugging my legs, "Hey little lil sis" I say running my fingers through her hair. "Where's the little guy" Shawn asks making me chuckle.

When my mom and Everleigh came over to have lunch, Shawn passed by to greet all of us and when he saw Noah he came up with the nickname 'Little Guy'.

"He's sleeping but you can go see him, he's in his little swing" I explain pointing to where it is. "I'll just glance at him and then leave before your mother yells at me for being late" he explains making me laugh as I nod in understanding.

I lead him towards Noah and he smiles, "He's gaining some weight he points out making me turn my head to look at Riley who's laughing. "Why is everybody calling my son fat?" I ask frustratingly, Shawn shakes his head and laughs, "I never said he was fat" he argues "I said he's getting chubbier" I roll my eyes and laugh.

"Mhm, great" I say walking over to the couch where Everleigh and Riley are.

"Yeah" I nod watching Noah attempt to talk, "I hear you bud" I assure him as he keeps humming and waving his hands around. "No" I gasp pretending that Pumpkin said something shocking, "No she didn't" I shake my head trying to stifle a laugh. He hums a little louder making me raise my brows, "She did" I says before parting my lips in shock.

"Well mama's gonna have a talk with that girl" I assure him as I hear Josh chuckle. I glance at him and find him looking down at the both of us lovingly, "You two are adorable" I smile and turn my attention back to Noah. I lean down and kiss his cheek over and over again.

"Mama loves you so much" I mutter against his chubby little cheek. He hums making me giggle and pull away from him. Moments like these are the one I'll always treasure, where we're all in bed ready to go to sleep but I just can't help but play around with Noah because he isn't tired yet or he isn't hungry, so I just lay him down on my side of the bed and I lay down below him.

"Can you say I love you?" I ask gazing at Noah's eyes. They were slowly getting lighter making me wonder if Josh was going to right about Noah getting my eyes. It honestly didn't matter to me, he's still be my perfect little boy with dark blue eyes or light blue eyes.
