"You helping mama?" Josh asks with a chuckle when he finds his son in a suitcase. "More or less" I giggle picking out another shirt for Noah to bring on our trip.
"Do you want me to take him off of your hands?" Josh asks curiously as he approaches me. I shrug "I don't mind, if your busy he can stay here" I reply as I keep going through Noah's clothes and deciding which ones to bring. One of the best parts of being a mother has to be dressing up your baby. It's so much fun and it's even better when you've got a cute baby like mine. Everyday is like a photoshoot, I can't get enough of him he's just so freaking adorable and I want to catch every single moment of his life.
"I'm not busy" his arms sneak around my waist, pulling me against him. "I'll play with him in his playroom, that way you can pack without having a baby in the suitcase" he kisses my cheek as I let out a giggle. "Thank you" I smile leaning against him. "Anytime gorgeous" he presses a quick kiss to my cheek before letting me go and walking towards Noah.
"Come on Pumpkin, come with daddy" Noah lifts his hands to reach Josh who bends down and picks him up. "Can I have a kiss?" Noah nods and quickly gives Josh a kiss, my heart flutters at the sight. He's been learning so many things lately, like how to answer when we ask him a question, or what certain things mean. You could ask him to get you the remote and he'd bring it to you. He's such a smart baby that it makes me a proud mama. I'm so blessed.
"What about mama? Can I have a kiss?" I ask hopefully. He smiles and nods as he tries to reach for me. I head over to him and he leans down giving me a sweet kiss. "Thank you" I gush "That was so nice" I coo caressing his cheek. He loves it when you praise him, it makes his smile widen and his cheeks even get a slight pink tint. He gets so adorable.
I giggle and shake my head in amusement. "Try and tire him out a bit, he had a long nap and I don't want to put him to bed late" Josh nods "Whatever you need baby" I smile and lean up to press a kiss to his lips. "Thank you" I quip.
Things have been really good between us. Ever since I broke down about my father, Josh has been nothing but perfect. Always making sure I have what I need, that being love. Both my parents and Josh's have taken turns into watching Noah, whether it's for a few hours or longer leaving Josh and I with some much needed time alone.
We were able to talk about everything and nothing but most importantly about the next step. Our son is finally one what's next? We kind of went through the calendar and how the end of the year is going to go and to say the least I'm excited and a little nervous.
"Can you say bye bye to mama?" Noah frowns, seems like he doesn't want to leave me. "You're going to play with daddy" I smile "Bye bye" I wave before blowing him a kiss. His smile returns and he waves back. "Say bye bye" Josh coaches.
"Bye bye" he mumbles making my heart flutter. "Can you blow a kiss?" Josh asks "Look, do this" he shows his son how to do it, helping him learn something new and even though it takes about a minute he eventually gets it and my one year old son is blowing me a kiss.
