LOUIS CRASHES AND BURNS AS MATILDE FINALLY FLIPS

Despite his mother's death four days ago, Louis Tomlinson maintained his scheduled performance at the X Factor UK last night, with Steve Aoki.

What endeared many was the fact that the entirety of One Direction was there to support the 24-year-old, plus family and Matilde Paes de Bragança, who was caught arriving at Heathrow not 48 hours earlier with Harry Styles (both 22).

Matilde remained backstage during the performance, looking after godson Freddie Tomlinson, almost 12 months now.

After a heartfelt performance of Just Hold On, it seemed that the seven (including Tomlinson's older sister and girlfriend Danielle Campbell) were headed home, only to be later papped walking into a club in downtown London.

As pictured, Matilde and Styles seemed to be the only two unhappy with the situation, frowning as they followed the rest of the party inside.

Insiders and witnesses claim that the two didn't even drink heavy, Styles sticking to weak cocktails and Matilde to water and the occasional cider, more concerned with the Tomlinson siblings.

Hours later, the seven are pictured leaving, Horan and Payne in their own world as Matilde and Danielle hold Louis and Lottie out, completely wasted, as Styles walks ahead, opening way between the sea of photographer.

And that's when things got interesting.

Finally seemingly aware of what was happening to the older member of One Direction, Payne beelines to Styles, helping deflect the shouts as Horan runs to Matilde, who, despite clearly needing the help with the siblings, slithers away from the Irish member, also ex-boyfriend to the Portuguese actress and singer.

Slapping his hand away, she is caught on camera saying, and we quote: "Don't you reckon you've done enough? You fuck up and then watch as things blow up! Me, now Louis and Lottie! Your bad decisions never hit you, Niall!"

Months ago, Matilde's new boyfriend, Sebastian Stan, when asked about her relationship with Horan, claimed that there was more to it than people knew and that the judging was premature.

Perhaps Matilde was referring to some of the things we don't know?
