from outside the tall windows, the sea's shimmer draws her eyes. she wants to get in and just float away. she is listening to his words, but is barely registering them.
now, she's the one not feeling like having a conversation. he'd barged into her house, before she could even get there, waiting for her in the kitchen for her to arrive.
her tea was long gone, no longer something she could use to distract herself.
"I think we should take a break."
that brings her back to reality. stutters momentarily, trying to come up with the right words to say. there aren't literally any.
"Is that a joke? Did your management decide that too?"
"Yes."
the world stops. or at least it feels like that. she can't belive that not only two weeks before she'd finished a love song about him.
"Are you for real? You're breaking up with me because your managent decided that now I'm not good promo?"
he sighs as her eyes well up with tears. deep down, she knows she should've expected it. it was her delaying the inevitable.
"She kissed me. While we were in Brazil. I didn't stop her."
her whimper is louder than expected. the rug is pulled from beneath her. she's suddenly greatful of the chair beneath her. he keeps on talking.
"And honestly, you were so busy with Niall, so I figured there was something going on there again."
she gets up, grabs her back. wants to slap him, to walk out of her own house and run away. there is so much anger running through her veins.
"That's funny, bevause I was completely faithful to you throughout the entire thing. We are only friends, me and Niall. The fact that you thought otherwise tells me what you really think of me. You have your break. A break-up really, tell it to your PR so they can milk everything out of it. You know where the door is. I don't want you here when I get back."
she walks out. she'd already promised coffee to someone else, anyway.
