The Lost Child

chapter 27

I was shaken awake by voices flying through my ears. I opened my eyes with dismay, thinking that somehow we were found. Fortunately, I saw only Stephan in a deep conversation with Phillip. It arose butterflies in my heart seeing their faces so delighted. Seeing those laugh marks drawn at the side of their lips. After a few minutes, they noticed I was awake.

"Ah! You're awake" started Stephan as he turned away from Phillip "it's night already"
I yawned and sat upright. There was a fire just before me, releasing sparks flying in the air. Admiring their beauty, I started at them as flew towards me then dissapeared with the wind. Glancing around I noticed that Draco and Simon were missing.

"Where are the others? "I started, my voice still hoarse from sleep.

"Oh Draco went to find food and Simon, well, he should be looking for a way back" Phillip started as he exchanged a look with Stephan. "He thinks there is another way that leads to the river. Somewhere west. "

"West! "I exclaimed. "But it's not safe. You shouldn't have left him alone! " I said as sudden fear struck my heart.

"Nah he's not alone" Phillip giggled and turned towards Stephan, whispered something and they gazed at me. "Well... someone is with him. "

"Who? "I pushed.

"You really don't want to know..." replied Stephan, looking at me nervously.

"Who's with him? "I said nervously as anxiety started to eat at my heart.

"Anastasia "

"What! Oh my God you left him with her? "Phillip glared at me for a moment but softened when he saw my concern "and what is even she doing here? "

"Well I really don't know how she found us.. but she can help. She knows a lot, Lia! She can get us back" Phillip continued as I glared at him. Anger already spraying out of me.

"Anyone but her, Phillip! Do I have to remind you that she tried to kill me? You know we can't trust her" I started to scream with rage while he stared at me, his face blank.

"Just try! "He yelled to overcome my loud voice "she can't hurt us she's weak" his face turned pale as he spoke.

"This is nonsense" I cried as I felt my cheeks burn with heat "I can't trust her. She's only keeping herself alive! And how do you think she does that? I'll tell you. By drinking our blood!!"

"Just give her a chance "he started, his words were begging me. I saw as his face was coated with pain.

"No no"I continued. My rage controlling every word I said. "And why would she do such thing? Following us with no reason. What would she take in return? "I walked closer to him as I pushed him backwards. He was paralyzed with shock. "What would she take in return? "I repeated, even louder.

"We told her... we told her that you can turn her back human"he said as he shrank in a corner disappearing in my shadow as I towered over him. At that I felt heat exploding out of me.

"You said what!? "I growled "how could you- ugh "I felt my nerves tearing apart. I wanted to strangle him "You know this is impossible. I would have done it for any of you if I can! "

"That was the only way we could keep her with us" he whispered. "I wanted her with us"

Blowing a breath and screaming hysterically I pulled him out and pushed him outside angrily as I felt my blood like fire in my veins  "find them! Go " with a blush covering his face and a pained expression on his face, he backed up and left.

I watched him go and when i was sure he wasnt close to hear, I let out a cry so loud as my fingers formed green sparks.  I let them grow into a fire ball. Angrily,  i throw it at the stoned wall wih all my force. I was repelled back from the force and I saw the hole I'd  formed on the wall. Stephan came closer and started "calm down, darling calm down" he held my arms to make sure i wouldnt do anything else. "don't do this to him.. please"
