Ezra's P.O.V

It's in my head. A new darkness, swimming through my mind slowly but wasn't able to get much deeper. It could only stay on the shallow side of my thoughts.

I could feel it growing. Whatever this new darkness was is getting stronger and thriving. A great power and an even greater problem.

   "I...want...more," it spoke, hungrily. "Need...to...eat."

I shivered a bit as a sudden wave of cold washed over the room. I could feel it's lustful hunger for power grow. Whatever this new evil was...it was coming. I was not looking forward for its arrival.

May God have mercy on all of us.

Sabine's P.O.V

I remember a time when things weren't so complicated. When life wasn't messed up with powers or Infected or a little demon that ate souls for breakfast.

Sure, it wasn't the best life but it gave me a purpose to live. My brother, Triston gave me a reason to keep going unlike everyone who despised my very existence. I thought, after being abandoned by my parents and Triston taken away, it was all over. Then the change happened, I obtained the power of fire.

I destroyed anything I touched and scorched them out of existence just as my parents did. Yet, when it came to humans was totally different. I saw my brother in the innocent people who feared me, knowing he would to knowing what I was about to do.

Then I met Hera after being kidnapped, abandoned by the Empire because I was weak. Hera was different from everyone I met. She showed me something that no one, besides one person, had. Compassion. Kindness. Guidance.

She helped me through the darkest parts of my past. She taught me things that gave me hope, a purpose. I was completely lost but with her, the path opened wider and miles ahead could be seen.

I found my way.

Now, there was a new lesson with the hardest question that was still left unanswered.

Why did she leave Ahsoka to die? She taught me to never leave anyone behind but gave up so easily, so willingly!

"Are they following us?" One of the surviving rebels asked another. The other shrugged unknowingly. All the survivors of the rebel base were walking down a path through the woods after running quite a distance from the base.

We don't know if anyone followed us or not but I was hoping they didn't. Second Sister would totally whip our butts without so much as a flick of her wrist. Then that little monster kid was basically sucking the life out of the unlucky ones. We were lucky to have survived.

A couple feet ahead of me and leading the group was Zeb and Hera. They were as quiet as me, heads lowered a little but just enough to keep us on track. A pit in my stomach churned with remorse and guilt.

It wasn't Hera wasn't the one to blame for what happened, it truly was my fault. I decided to go out without telling anyone. I let Zeb tag along with me. I made this mess and, now there are only a few of us left. With numbers so low and almost little to no supplies or weapons, our chances dimmed deep.

I growled frustrated and kicked a rock as hard as possible.

Cornelius walked up beside me with a stupid grin on his wrinkled face.

"My my, do I see the works of teenage emotions spiraling out of control from Subject Hothead?" The geezer chirped.

"Watch what you say, or the Infected will have their first taste of a barbecued idiot," I threatened, glaring, both fists lighting on fire.

"Well, butter my biscuits," Cornelius started, amused, "I didn't think you would sacrifice yourself like that. Luckily, there are no Infected but there still might be a cannibal or two out there." My glare hardened and took everything not to repay him with a flared fist to the face for that comeback.

"Look," he continued, sighing and surprisingly more mature way. "apologize to Hera. I'm sure she isn't mad at you but blaming herself for leaving Ahsoka behind." I calmed down a bit shocked and burning hands soon ceased back to normal.

"W-Why would she blame herself? She was right, it is my fault for being arrogant and searching for clues," I questioned the old man.

"I've known Hera for quite some time. Probably not as long as you, but I've seen how selfless she is. Being a leader is hard and has its consequences. Everything that is done under the leader's power that has failed, all the blame goes to that person. Trust me when I say, she blames herself for everything that happened," Cornelius explained.

I was taken back by his short speech. I never knew he could be so mature on sore subjects such as this. This was a whole new side to the scientist I've never seen. It brought a small smile to my face.

"Never knew you also had the power of empathy," I joked, punching him in the shoulder gently. The old guy laughed joyously, showing a lot of missing teeth and some that were still there were crooked or fake.

"You learn a few things a hop and a skip through time, especially from the Torgruta's history. Very smart beings, especially the ones that created it all," Cornelius spoke, mystified.

"The what?" I asked, raising an eyebrow.

"The Creators, they are the ones that created the clan's powers with their personalities. Your ancestors, for example, were outstanding warriors. They may have even guarded the Creators temple after they died. Fire is a powerful element and symbol but also is noble and ferocious, standing its ground," Cornelius explained, giggling at the end.

"How did the Creators die?" I asked.

   "Protecting their unborn child."

Second Sister's P.O.V

"Now what, master?" I asked, looking down at the child. For something so innocent looking, he was a demon born to destroy and kill. His child like face didn't stop the fact that he was just as deranged and dangerous as a psychotic men in an asylum.

"It's time to meet up with my friend," he said, smiling sinisterly. We walked away from piles of bodies and a base that is nothing but ash.

   I was ready.

   Ready to kill.
