Hera's P.O.V
After my mother's death, my father had been isolated and seen less. He put most of his time doing mayor work in liberating Ryloth than with me. He would never join me at meals or even check to see how I was doing.
Those were the hard times until he came to my room to show me a surprise. My mother's plane. He even apologized for ignoring me in the time I needed him most.
My dad taught me how to fly and work with the plane. Soon, I fell in love with flying and wanted to be a pilot when I grew older. I felt as free as a bird and closer to my mother than ever gripping the yoke.
Then everything changed...
The asteroid struck the Earth and Infected's hunted the weak while the ones who survived ran far away from the chaos. Walls were built and flying became little to none. My days in the air were over and the plane was destroyed by an Imperial raid.
There was nothing I could do but watch the Empire destroy my home and the last thing my mother had left behind. I mourned over the loss but didn't lose hope. My father told me to follow the Empire's rules to stay safe...but I disobeyed and stole an RV, the Ghost.
I ran away from everything I knew and love at age 15. I grew over the years and trained to perfect my abilities to manipulate the wind. While training my abilities, I managed to get myself cornered and scratched by an Infected. The monster ran away for reasons that were unknown, left me to slowly changed into one of them.
I thought I was a goner, until a man came and healed my wound. That's when hope for a better future thrives within me. A burning passion of hope to save what was left of the human population. There was a way to cure the incurable.
Later, I met a small group of policemen and rebels soon becoming a member to take down the Empire.
That's where I met a young yet stubborn girl who had a fire in her eyes being dragged into a cell. She wouldn't talk at interrogation no matter how friendly or mean the interrogator was. She stayed silent.
My curiosity bloomed after hearing who the girl was with. The Empire. I took it upon myself to talk with the girl every day and brought some art supplies. I didn't think I would ever hear a peep from her, thinking she was possibly mute, until she began to talk more.
We grew to trust each other, and I took Sabine Wren into my care. The other rebels seemed a bit hesitant at first to release the hothead but grew as allies. Sabine and I traveled in the Ghost as she told me her story before and after the big change. I did the same.
With all my loyalty and hard work within the rebel alliance, I soon became a leader. Ashoka and I became very close friends quickly after receiving the honor, showing me the highs and lows of the job. At first, the job was treachery, but I soon grew used to it all.
Yet, I wanted to keep up with rebelling against the Empire in the field. Not sit around like a duck. So, Sabine and I hit the road once again, continuing our missions from Fulcrum, aka, Ashoka.
Later on, Sabine helped me build Chopper from scrapes. Yet, the hardest part for her was when Kanan and Zeb joined our small group of rebels. She had told me her story from before and after the great change. Her whole life was something of what nightmares were made of.
Fear, hate and terror.
Yet, the two men had proven themselves to Sabine in more ways than one. Whether it was helping her fix the Ghost or protecting her on the battle field, Sabine grew to trust them.
Then came Ezra along. That situation became touchy one, poking the teen girl in the wrong places. She became more viscous towards the ravenette and angrier than she was with Zeb and Kanan. Sabine hadn't trusted the men when first meeting, not become an instant enemy.
All that changed, when I woke up in the middle of the dreaded forest. There was no sight of any members of my team or the Ghost. The last thing I could remember was yelling then the RV flipping. I was knocked out.
The place was dark and eerie. Every noise made me jump and walk faster. The air grew thick with tension and no breeze blew at the bare branches of dead trees. Silent. Everything was painfully quiet with only the sound of my trudging feet against the dirt.
I had a few run ins with some of the locals, who tried to kill me but were unsuccessful. I almost died fighting one of the most powerful Infecteds I've ever seen. To my luck, help arrived. Zeb came stampeding from the dead brush and wrestled the Infected. We both barely managed to escape in one piece.
A rescue team found and brought us back to the base. They healed us up nicely from head to toe. I reconnected with Ashoka and some other rebel leaders. Then another team of rebels had arrived.
To my relief, Ezra and Sabine stood there is one piece but it shocked me how well the two got along. Then everything happened all at once. We found a cure, Ezra and Kanan kidnapped, the youngest rebel died, and our base going up in flames. It was a tragedy for all the rebels, friends and families.
Good people lost their lives, Ashoka gave in, we lost everything. Almost everything, we still had our hope. Our numbers were small to none and weapons, food, basically everything we needed was destroyed in the fire. But we continued with a death-wish plan and a fighting spirit.
The plan to rescue Kanan and Ezra was going well...until it didn't. The comms went out and whatever was happening on the other side of the device did not sound good. Then the idiotic scientist was being his usual crazy-minded self to distract me long enough to get hit.
Then darkness.
I felt something poking me in the head. My eyes slowly fluttered open to be met with a bright light and immediately closed them. I groaned at the sudden brightness but soon grew used to it. Blurry dots were blocking my vision but could see people's forms hovering above me and talking.
"Are you dead or taking a nap cause we don't have time for either?" An annoying voice said. I saw one figure punch the one who talked. My sight began to clear up until seeing everyone surrounding me.
"Hera, are you okay?"
My attention was brought over to meet with a familiar face. I blinked a couple times to make sure that the person in front of me was real.
"Ahsoka?"
