Ezra's P.O.V
No...this is just another illusion. Another phony, like Kallus.
Another illusion...
"You aren't her," I snarled through clenched teeth. Second Sister only snickered at my helplessness cause she knew...she knew...that I didn't believe my own words. I was lying to myself, putting myself in denial.
I knew a liar when hearing one...and just listening to myself denying it was enough to take the cake.
"Why..." I began, feeling betrayed, "Why would you join their side, Erica? Why did you join the enemy? Mom and dad-"
"Erica is dead," she huffed, simply, "She is a weak and foolish child. The Bridger's were never my parents just like we were never family! It's not like you're their child either! Yet, they always liked—loved you more than me! So, why should I care that they are Infecteds now?"
I was caught off-guard and felt my muscles stiffen with tension.
"What do you mean I'm not their child?" I asked. Second Sister deviously grinned, and I flinched when she grew closer.
"Your mother is nothing but a surrogate for great beings that can't have children, the Creators. The ones who created the clan trusted their closest friends and loyalties to carry their child to safety. They were granted powers of immortality but still could get sick and injured and die if something tragic happened."
My blood boiled when she laughed, continuing, "You mother was nothing but a surrogate and father was merely a guard to protect her. What you called a family was nothing but what was left of a broken royal family and me."
Second Sister screamed in pain when a bullet hit her in the arm. She fainted, blood slowly oozing from her arm wound. I twisted my head around to see Kanan lowering the weapon then limp over to me. I sighed in relief, knowing he was alright.
"So, what did I miss?" He asked, casually and aimed the gun at my "sister." I slipped out from the veins still processing the information that smacked me in the face. Every word she spoke was the truth. Every. Single. Word.
Yet...how did she know that? Did they find the catacombs and learn of the ancient clan?
"Are you alright? She didn't do anything or hurt you?" Kanan asked, worried. I shook my head, "No...no, l-let's just keep going and find the others before the miniature demon finds our friends before she decides to wake up."
The man agreed and made our way down the halls. I was on the edge but had to focus or else we both could end up dead. This was life or death with a viscous predator hunting its prey. It was only a matter of minutes.
Soon, screaming and gunshots grew louder the closer we ran towards the danger. I powered up energy, focusing it all in the palm of my hand. Kanan and I slowed down until our steps didn't echo off the walls. The screams and gunshots were just around the corner.
I was about to peek around the corner but was yanked back by Kanan, a bolt shooting by my head s mere second later. Kanan grunted in pain, grabbing my attention. Blood smeared on his arm and leg, leaning all his weight against the wall.
We were both pretty beat up from the torture the Empire gave, but Kanan had it worse than me. I learned to heal my wounds without needing my hands but there was no time to test it out on someone else.
"Ezra, you need to go and help them but try not to get yourself killed next time," Kanan advised. I looked up at the man in disbelief and shook my head, "No, I'll heal you quickly then help them. You're in no condition-"
"There is a soul-thirsty demon killing feeding off of what's left of the rebels around that corner. You're our last hope to getting everyone out and ending the Empire for good," Kanan explained, "If you don't though..."
I froze and quick thought of the consequences. The rebels would have to rebuild again and find more recruits (which don't just walk up to your doorstep these days). The base is gone, many killed, hardly anything left but a small team. I had to save them, my friends were there fighting and the only way to defeat that monster...
...is to leave Kanan to slowly bleed to death...

Hera's P.O.V
"Sabine...Zeb...anyone, do you copy?" I called through the communicator but there was only static. This was bad. Very bad.
"Should I cut the red wire or blue wire?" Cornelius asked me. I glared down at the geezer and growled in annoyance, feeling impatient.
"Hey, stop in the name—AH!" Troopers yelled, but I sent a gust of wind which slammed four Troopers in the a wall. That should take care of them for now.
"You're the genius here! You should know what to cut!" I snapped. Cornelius thought over what I said then a look of realization was slapped onto his face, "Oh, yeah."
I growled and made sure the rest of the team was doing good holding off the wards of Troopers. For a bunch of rebels in training, they were doing pretty good in fighting. I'm surprised Ashoka didn't recruit them earlier on more dangerous missions.
If we get out of here alive, I'll assign them to bigger missions than stealing cargo from small ports.
"Iny meany miny mow..."I heard Cornelius say in a sing-song voice. I was about to the point where I was about to blast a small tornado to break the whole circuit box myself.
In that one moment I wasn't looking, someone shouted, "Hera, look out!"
Before I could react, a handle of a gun butted the top of my head. Hard. I fell to the floor and my weapon slid away from my reach. The world was spinning and fading into the abyss of darkness.
Before I could completely lost consciousness, a splurge of orange came into my vision and knocking out my attacker.
My eyes closed and fell unconscious.
