Ezra's P.O.V

One moment, pain was shooting through my skull. The next, I'm crushing the one that gave me that pain.

I could see blood oozing out of the vines that were wrapped around his body. His face was pale and eyelids heavy. He continued to make choking sounds as blood began to slide down his chin. He tried to claw his way into my brain but was too weak.

   "Before...you...crush me...to death," the Soul Eater wheezed, "I...just wanted...to say...this...was all...your fault."

His eyes went dull as the life was finally drained from his body. I felt myself feel lighter than I've ever been. He was dead. He was finally dead!

I released my hold on the plants and fell to my knees in exhaustion. Gunfire rang through my ears like a far away echo with a different war continuing on behind me. I looked around in a daze as everything around me happened in slow motion.

I blinked a people began to duplicate through my hazy spell. Two Zebs were slowly running and yelling something that I couldn't make out at the same time. He towards a sofa near me and went behind it.

The bulky man dragged out an unconscious Kanan from behind before heading over to me. I slowly watched at a bullet pierced both Zeb's arms and react in the same motion. It took him a mere second to continue and grab the back of my shirt, dragging me to where he was originally hiding.

Everything was a blur of colors as we moved until slowly clearing up and forming solid shapes. Zeb leaned Kanan and I up against something before disappearing. Sabine came into view checking Kanan and I for injuries.

She seemed to focus more on Kanan, mumbling jumbled words that sounded more like noises. I tried to speak but no words came out of my mouth. Yet, out of everything that was happening, the Soul Eater's voice was the only clear thing ringing inside my head.

"This was all your fault."

Hera's P.O.V

I was getting tired of sitting here and doing nothing. I could tell Ahsoka was too. We were practically sitting ducks while infuriating on waiting for someone to find or come back for us. My patience had run out.

"We need to move," I stated, "I'm getting tired of just sitting here, waiting and not knowing what's going on." Ahsoka sighed, rubbing tiredly at her eyes and agreed. She helped me stand to my feet. My head spun a bit but ignored the small throbbing waves.

We began to run down the halls and back to the lobby. The white walls and floors didn't help the headache that pounded at my skull.

I didn't care. All I knew was to sprint to the lobby and help. Ahsoka was only a few feet in front of me, making me stop at each corner to check for any stray troopers. We finally arrived at the lobby, and to my surprise, we were winning.

I searched for my team quickly before seeing Zeb and guided Asoka over to him. Troopers shot at us because of my reckless "running into the danger" stunt. Luckily, they were all terrible aimers and made it behind cover without an injury.

My heart sank when seeing the condition Kanan and Ezra in. Sabine didn't seem like she was doing to hot herself either, clumsily trying to take care of Kanan. Kanan's unconscious face was deathly pale and breathing shallow. I scrambled over to my love and helped take care of him.

"What happened?" I barked at Zeb.

"Fight now. Talk later," he replied, chucking a chair's leg like throwing a spear. I felt someone rest a hand on my shoulder and looked back to see Ahsoka.

"Hera, go help fight. I'll keep an eye on them," Ashoka spoke in a calm, telepathic voice. I gulped then nodded before going to help Zeb. I glanced back one more time at my fallen teammates before joining Zeb in the fight.
