Sabine's P.O.V

My hand trembled, gun pointing at the smirking beast who stood merely a couple feet away. The thing seemed to thrive in our fear as if he could smell it and licked his lips.

"What idiot invited the bloody demon to crash the party?" Zeb snarled, menacingly. He grabbed a giant desk nearby and chuckled it at the Soul Eater.

He punched the desk, splitting it into two before growing angry. The boy growled and opened his mouth all the way down to his chest, cracking as it grew.

I shot the small roach and hit him in the back of his throat. Yet, the bullets morphed into the back of the mouth as if they never existed in the first place. I tried to fire again but nothing happened and threw the weapon across the room.

Suddenly, one of the rebel's screamed as they were slowly lifted into the air. The rebel kicked and shouted for mercy as something left his body. The others near him tried their best to stop whatever was happening but nothing worked. It was hopeless.

The rebel dried up into nothing but a rotting corpse, disturbing still and quiet. No one dared to move any closer to the soul eating kid with demonic powers. Greedy eyes scoured for its next victim as I made a stupid move.

My fist blew up in flames as I ran at the monster. Sweat beaded my forehead and teeth clenched with anger. This was going to end here and now.

I felt lighter and soon, my feet left the floor. My power ceased to exist and anger was quickly replaced with surprise.

    No.

   No, no, no, no, no!

"Sabine!" Zeb yelled. I heard heavy footsteps running towards me as I struggled.

"No! Zeb, stay back!" I shouted back, a look of sternness was all it took to make Zeb hesitate for a moment. He shook his head with a look of determination and continued.

I felt myself being drained of life. The pain was indescribable and wanted to scream but nothing came out. My body felt as if it was being aggressively clawed at, gruesomely shredding my very being. My very soul ripped away by force into a dark place when nightmares are born and crawl.

I felt so...cold. Freezing, but I didn't shiver. Light yet was very heavy. Shrinking. Shriveling up into nothing. Empty, lonely, so awfully cold.

Then, it stopped. The pain slowly faded away, and I fell to the floor weakly. I coughed and hacked as if I were just drowning down into a sea darkness down in the depths of an abyss.

"Sabine, are you alright?" Zeb asked nervously. I suddenly began to shiver and tried to warm up to no avail.

"I...I-I feel so c-cold...a-and hurt like I...I did something wrong. Like...like I caused you all pain and...and burden you...and...I just feel so-so guilty. This is all my fault," I gibberishly spoke, words coming out as if I were in a drunken state of mind.

I groaned when a pounding entered my head, "I-I don't feel good." Zeb said something, but I was unable to make out what he said or know who saved me from that horrible feeling of being torn. The world went dizzy and time slowed to the point it began to freeze.

Freeze...it was so cold.

Noises came from everywhere, explosions and things breaking, but I had no interest in it. I just wanted to rid of this almost emptying feeling within me. I just wanted to...

I closed my eyes and fell onto Zeb's chest. He tried to wake me up, but I didn't want too.

...I just want to...sleep...

Ezra's P.O.V

My heart lurched at the scene before me.

The Soul Eater was eating Sabine's soul. Out of pure instinct, I shot a powerful beam of light from the palm of my hand at the little demon.

The beam hit him straight on and the evil witch slammed right into the wall, creating a hole. Sabine dropped to the ground. Zeb ran over to check on her to my relief. She was still alive and breathing so I relaxed a small bit before turning my attention back to the spawn of evil itself.

He was laughing, getting to his feet with a few scrapes and bruises. Nothing serious much to my displeasure. I clenched my teeth and glared at him.

"You think that was going to stop me? Ha! You're more of a fool than I thought," The boy laughed, "but...I guess this will make it more fun to watch the son of the most powerful beings in the universe perish. I can already taste victory and it is magnificent."

I felt power course through my veins and released it. Giant vine-like trees burst out from underneath the floor and swung its tentacle-like vines around, waiting for my command.

"Your rein of terror ends here and now!" I yelled, pointing my finger at the monster. A breeze blew by when the vines lurched there way over to attack him and breaking anything in their way.

The last thing I remember was him smiling and a miserable pain inside my head.

"Ezra...you...are...mine."

Hera's P.O.V

"Hera."

I opened my eyes and looked around for Sabine. Yet, to my surprise, I was back at a familiar place...before everything changed.

There was a knock on the door. It opened to reveal my father at the doorway with a big smile on his face.

"I have a surprise for you, darling," he said, gesturing for me to follow. I blinked in confusion but stood to my feet and followed him out of the room.

He clamped his big hands over my eyes and guided me through the house to outside. I felt the wind rustle my hair around and the smell of  my home, Ryloth, hit my nose.

My father's hands soon disappeared from my sight to unveil a small plane. On the side of the flying black instrument in white letters read "Phantom."

   My mother's plane.

I know someone said they were interested in the Ghost crew's stories. I also wanted to make this decently long. So, in the next chapter will be about Hera's life then, of course one of my legendary cliffhangers.
