Grabbing his coffee from the counter, he looks over to the corner in the far right by the window after hearing a familiar voice. It's been almost four weeks that she has not answer back his call. Every time he went to her apartment she's not there and when he checked in with Hayley, the girl wouldn't even let him know about Stephanie's whereabouts. He walks over to her direction without hesitance.

"Why have you been ignoring my calls and text?" She turns around with her face still stuff with a cherry turnover in it. Seeing him here out of all places, almost caused her to choke on her on her turnover.

"What are you doing here?"

"Who is he," her friend Gabriella asks.

"A friend," Stephanie replies casually as she goes back to her phone scrolling through Instagram to find that darn picture. He looks at her with an irk of pain impaling his chest as she casually calls him a friend. He sighs knowing full well that he was wrong, and she was still upset.

"Well Stephanie's friend, you want to join us," she asks gesturing to the empty chair beside Stephanie.

"Thank you," he replies as he sits beside of Stephanie who is still immersed on her phone determine to find the picture and totally ignoring his presence.

"I'm Gabriella."

"Nice to meet you, Gabriella, I'm AD."

"I know who you are," she says with a smile," you can thank the news and media for that."

"Right here," Stephanie exclaims as she shows her phone screen to Gabriella.

"Wow, he's cute. That's the blind date your aunt is setting you up with tonight! He's even better looking than that previous guy. What was his name again, Danny, Daniel?"

"I don't know," she says she casually puts her phone in the table and take a sip of her ice chai tea latte.

"He's really good looking, you should totally go. Don't you dare make some lame excuse like you used to."

"You have a blind date," AD asks as jealousy starts to fill him up.

"Yeah."

"And you're going to go?"

"Maybe. Maybe not."

"Yes or no?"

"Why the hell do you care? It's not like we are dating!"

Caught by surprise and feeling the intensity, Gabriella kicks Stephanie foot under the table. Glaring at her friend, she saw that Gabriella was giving her that look that says, "You better fill me later tonight." Rolling her eyes, she gives out a puff as she leans back in her chair avoiding AD.

"Don't go," he says out loud causing Gabriella to choke on her iced caramel coffee.

"Um, I gotta go I forgot there's something I need to do. It was nice seeing you in real life AD. Text me later Stephanie."

"Girl, you text me cause you know I'll be forgetting to text you later."

"Sure, bye you two."

Sitting in awkward silence she plays on her phone while feeling his intense gaze monitoring her every movement. She had seen his messages, well more like her no-good niece read them out loud for her since she was ignoring his messages and calls. He left so many voicemails for her too that she even got tired of deleting them and had her niece deleted them for her. Those times when he came knocking on her door, she was in her apartment, but she didn't want to let him in.

"I'm sorry for not asking you what happen the other night. And I'm sorry for not listening."

She turns around to stare at him showing no emotions. She can see that he's truly sorry, but if he is going to play the push and pull game, then she's got no time for such a game. For one, she's never been in a relationship, so she definitely doesn't have the skills to be playing that kind of game. And secondly, she does not even know what she means to AD, even though they kiss and went on a few dates. She grabs her purse and gets up to leave the café so she can go back to her apartment and clear her mind. Immediately he follows her, she's a fast walker even with her short legs.

"Look," she says turning around as she stops in front of her car, "leave me alone what's done is done and don't remind me of what happened."

"I'm not leaving. I'm going to follow you everywhere until you forgive me."

"Fine, I forgive you."

"You do?"

"I forgive you, but I definitely won't forget. Now bye," she says as she gets into her car." .................................................

Feeling restless he changes out from his lounging clothes into a pair of black jeans, white t-shirt and throw on a black jacket before grabbing his car keys. Hours earlier, he had texted Stephanie asking her not to go on the blind date and once again apologizing to her. She didn't respond back to his text, but he is sure that she read it. Getting into his car, he sends one quick message to her telling her that if she doesn't respond within the next minute, he's going to crash her date.

"I'm sorry, but she's taken," he says grabbing her hand and forcing her to get up and follow him.

"AD, it's me Gabriella."

He stops immediately and turns around to find Gabriella instead of Stephanie. Quickly he lets go of her hand. "Sorry," he says raking his fingers through his hair. "Where's Stephanie?"

"She left a long time ago," the blind date says. "I'm Max by the way, nice to meet you. Ten minutes after she arrived, she said was tired and left. I'm glad you stay though," he said to Gabriella, "I mean I like Stephanie and all, but I definitely don't want to marry her," he says laughing while looking at a confuse AD. "Me and Stephanie grew up together, we're friends. But she prefers to call me her acquaintance. I'm here because my aunt asks me too and the same with her."

"I see," he says, "I'm sorry Max."

"It's all good, but damn she must have got you good because you came in like a mad bull in mating season."

"So, you're saying she went back to her apartment."

"Yes," Max and Gabriella both answer at the same time.
