Kim's POV

I woke up the next morning alone. I have come used to it; he can't wake up to an empty bed she once said. She was sweet enough to cover my modesty up in a duvet. The carpeted flooring not doing my back any good as I lay in the middle of the closet. A smile appears on my lips recalling last nights memories. She loves me - I love her, what's so complicated about that? A lot. When did my life become into such a drama zoned soap opera?

Finally deciding that laying on the floor won't do me any good I got up and had myself a shower and change. I was in deep thought throughout my shower, I don't even remember changing into fresh clothes. Why am I over thinking everything? I knew what I was getting myself into the second my lips touched hers. Would she ever leave him for me? Does she love me that much to throw away a four year marriage that was doomed from the start? Time will only tell.

"Good morning pet" Joan greeted me soon as I walked through the kitchen

"Good morning, sleep well?" I asked, I walked over to the coffee pot pouring myself a steaming brew

"Aye, slept like a baby -" she said smiling at me with a knowing look

"Did you sleep well?" She asked, taking a slow sip out of her cup

"Yeah-"

"You've got a bite on your shoulder pet" She raised her eyebrow taking in Cheryl's teeth marks. My hand instantly flying to the bite; feeling the need to hide it.

"Hah yeah Cheryl thought it would be funny to wrestle" I lied, she saw right through it

"Is that what you two were doing last night? Hmm" She took a long look at me before standing up and walking out of the kitchen leaving me stood there with a dumbfounded look. What the hell just happened?

"Hey beautiful" A very happy Cheryl said walking into the kitchen and giving me a kiss on my cheek

"Babe-"

"Oooh what's this? did I do that?" She pouted, and began to kiss the mark she left on my shoulder

"Bab-" she cut me off once more hugging me tightly

"I wish I woke up next to you this morning" She whispered in my ear placing a single kiss

"Babe, will you listen" I said getting frustrated with her cut offs

"What?" She said looking quite hurt with my tone. She made some distance between us crossing her arms across her chest feeling a bit exposed with the look I was currently giving her

"Your Mum knows" I said, she just looked at me like I was crazy

"Me Mam doesn't know sh*t, bless that woman, she won't even notice a hurricane comin' her way" She chuckled at me

"Cheryl. She knows" I hissed, nothing was funny about the situation we currently were in

"Baby, will you relax.." She bit her lip walking back over to me

"Say it" She whispered in my ear, her arms snacking around my waist; stroking my exposed skin

"I love you" If all I had to do was say those three words to keep that beautiful smile on her face, I would spend forever saying it

"And I love you too" She whispered, I was quick to hear the footsteps approaching the kitchen. I pushed away from Cheryl getting a hurt look from her but she understood quickly as her Mam made a second appearance

“I don’t want you’s rushing with me stuff, make sure to get us everything on that list” She smirked tapping on the paper in my hand before walking out of the kitchen. She knows, she so knows. Why isn’t she telling me off? Going and telling Ashley about the infidelity her daughter is doing.

“Come on!” Cheryl said taking my hand and dragging me through the house, rushing to leave as soon as possible

“Where you two off to!?” Ashley shouted from the top of the stairs

“Going to get me Mam some stuff” She said waving the paper in hand

“Oh I’ll come with you guys, I have a few things I want to get actually” Oh no, I was hoping to spend some quality time with Chez

“I’ll get them for you, it’s a girls trip” I was taken back by Cheryl’s rejection, she always would let him do as he wanted and pleased. No was never an answer for him

“Um.. Okay ill text them to you” Ashley looked at her with a look I couldn’t quite read; he was seeing a different side to her. He glanced at me quickly before turning around and walking out of sight

“Baby slow down!” I giggled as she sped out of the front driveway

“I just want to get the hell out of here” She said seriously, I looked at her – watched her really. I wonder if she would runaway with me, somewhere far; not a soul in sight and our love would be enough.

“You know what I’ve always wanted to do?” She said bringing me out of my haze

“What’s that?” I asked, genuinely interested in her dreams, her hopes, and all her wishes

“I’ve always wanted to sit beneath the stars and watch the stars shine down on us-“ She began, she always would tell me about her random wishes, how she would dream about it and I would take it in – all of it. One day I will give her everything she is wishing for, even if she doesn’t realize it.

“Maybe watch the sunrise, I’ve always wanted to watch the sunrise” She was speaking more to herself than me, keeping her eyes on the road as she voiced her thoughts. She was a closed book when we first started, now she has no filter with me. Anything that comes to her mind, shell voice it, because she knows – she knows I would never judge her, or make her feel stupid.

“Ashley thinks its stupid.. Always saying ‘Why would you want to watch the sunrise’ but all I think of is who wouldn’t.. Right Kimba?” She looked at me briefly seeing I was already looking at her with a dazed smile

“I don’t think its stupid, I think it’s a really wonderful idea” I said, her smile full on display at my words. I laced our fingers together as she drove us to a near shop to pick up Joan’s crap

“So do you really think your Mum actually needs a cutting board” I said making her giggle

“I guess you’re right” She confessed

“How come she’s not beating me to death yet” I laughed, she didn’t say anything until she parked the car into a parking space

“Because she sees how happy I am”

Kim’s POV

“Can we bake a cake today?” She asked hopeful, I wanted to grab the back of her neck and kiss her passionately in the middle of this aisle. She was like an excited child all day, her smile plastered across her face Her voice was filled with laughter and happiness and I hope to keep her this way as long as I can.

“If you want to” I shrugged as I pushed the trolly

“Maybe we can sneak away today” She whispered in my ear

“How about we just go to our spot after this? Will bake a care there, no one will even know we had been gone. Plus your Mum said for us to take our time” I said

“She said what!?” She laughed

“I swear to you she said for us to take our time” I said laughing along, She sighed wrapping her arms around me as we stood in the middle of the pastry aisle

“Babe, stop someone will see” I hissed as she kissed my neck

“Just give us one kiss, please” She pouted, I gave in; I took a good look at either end of the aisle seeing no one was in sight. I gave her a lingering kiss, loving the feel of her pedal soft lips pressed against my own

“Love you” She whispered giving me one last peck

“I love you too” I replied making her bite her lip and smile at me sweetly. And I did, I loved her, god I loved her with every inch of me; every piece of my beating heart. I loved her; all of her.
