This is the second installment of my Who is it segment.
This is about my best guy friend.
Who is it?He's obsessed with country music, and rightfully so as in the recent months I've discovered that it's actually quite beautiful. He has an amazing singing voice even if he tries to say otherwise.
He's too nice at times but so are a lot of my friends. Something for me to work on. The results are always great when he puts his heart into something.
He's also pretty obsessed with takeout but I can't blame him at all there.
He truly gets me and he was the one who made me realize that guys are actually pretty great confidants and just all around awesome friends. He's the best person to go out with for drinks, but he's also one of the first people I would go to if I have a lot on my mind and just need to vent.
Why am I telling you all this you might ask. Well because I want you to always remember the good in people when someone tries to turn you against them. I made that mistake with this same person once. People were able to turn me against him with a few words of persuasion. In my defense we hadn't really had a proper conversation before then. But still, I'm so glad I gave our friendship another chance months later. Look at us now. We were near inseparable before he left me to fend for myself against the wolves of the world...
Wherever you saw him I wasn't far behind, along with another friend who is no more. However we were always that bit closer despite not having known each other that long.
Who is this person you ask?
It's my brother in everything but blood. Yes that's right. Now those of you that know him may be really confused, but let me ask you this. How well do you really know him? How long did it take you before you decided he wasn't worth your time and that he was weird or annoying or a creep!
What do you really know about him?
Have you ever spent the day with him and truly gotten to know the person within?
We all have our masks, some wear them only sometimes and others only let them slip off when they're asleep.
How will you ever know what someone's really like unless you get to know them so well that you know when they're faking. Till you know when they're not saying what they truly mean?
It's funny because I thought it was girls who were always getting judged for having multiple boyfriends in a short space of time. But all I ever used to hear before he left was, oh he's got a new girlfriend has he, why am I not surprised.
What's that supposed to mean. Would you like it if people fucking judged you for wearing your heart on your sleeve? Would you appreciate it if someone rolled their eyes every time you announced being in a new relationship?
So what if he falls easily? He never said he wasn't going to date till marriage. He's allowed to date whoever he damn pleases whenever he fucking feels like it. If his mom hasn't said anything then what's your problem? He's not your child or brother and even so it's his love life so he can conduct it however he wants.
He may not always make the best choices but who does?
Why are people putting him on a pedestal and expecting him to do what they want? He's not no puppet may I remind you. He's human and therefor allowed to mess up and everything else.
This isn't a rant or anything of that nature, I'm writing these so y'all can see how I perceive you but also understand each other better.
So who is he?
